Meh. Postponements happen all the time in the early season. It kinda sucks since I think they had a real nice chance at a sweep and sort of get things back on the right track for a minute or two. Was looking forward to seeing if Mauer could also collect 12 hits in 3 days which would have even beat Pucketts best series.

No real rush with DeDuno, wait until he is 100% and forces the issue, his upside in all reality is that of a #5 guy (though a fun to watch #5 guy at that)

Hats off to Correia who once again had a very nice start. I hope he can keep it up (even though I am at about 50% confidence he can end up with a 4.20 ERA and close to 200ip)

I feel like the "well he is better than Correia, will become the new...well he is better than butera" meme this year, which is beyond annoying. There was zero reason to keep Slowey around, ESP after he refused to pitch in the pen, we can say what we want about Blackburn, but at least the guy always did what the team wanted him to do.

The idea that Arcia is going to bring "fans to the seats" is pretty foolish IMO, yeah, a few more fans will come watch the games, but your average Twins fan (the ones that make up 95% of the attendance day to day) probably have no idea who Arcia is, and if they do aren't going to go out of there way to shell out money just to see him take a few at bats in the middle of 35 degree weather while the Twins most likely drop 2 of 3 against the Angels. There is one thing that puts fans in the seats: Winning baseball games! Well that or cheap beer, but Rocketpig knows that ain't happening anytime again.

Why would this be such a bad thing? If/when Hicks is sent down the Twins need another CF/4th OF. No use in bringing up someone who isn't ready from AAA to fill that void.

The weather I don't think yesterday effected it much as it was mostly just a mist. However Mauer's last at bat in the 2nd game (bases loaded strike out) was certainly effected, the rain was coming down super hard and anyone in that experience can tell you it screws up your "eye" in picking up the ball quite a bit.

I went to all three games and must say that 99.9% of the fans were great, you don't get any trash talk for wearing a Twins jersey and the majority of people there are just trying to have an enjoyable experience. Like anything else though, its the few rotten apples that ruin it for everyone. Security just needs to do a better job IMO.

My family and I were at a Mariners game last year where there were Red Sox fans saying some of the nastiest things I have ever heard at a park, on top of that they were screaming F bombs non stop. Now, the youngest "child" in my family was 20 years old, but eventually enough was a enough for my dad and he turned around and basically told them to stop otherwise there would be issues, sure enough this only egged them on more and one eventually said something pretty inappropriate to my mom, well about two seconds later I had one of the guys by the collar as did my dad. Luckily security came down and gave them the boot before we really lost it. I don't understand why some people have to be such *******s at games, its one thing to swear a bit to your buddies, its a whole nother thing to be screaming F bombs and talking about really nasty things super loud the entire game where everyone can hear. I mean everyone has had to much to drink a time or 30 in their lives (myself included) but I have never had the desire to start screaming things in a public setting to start runing everyone's experience. To the OP, what section were you in? There were a couple idiots in our section that were swearing and talking about a players mother, one guy eventually turned around and told em to knock it off. (We were in 120) Security at these ball games need to do a better job at giving people the boot, I mean they have a damn security guard at every section, do your job and get people to stop swearing etc. Personally it doesn't bother/affect me a whole lot, but I know when I am there with a date, or someday with a kid it will really piss me off.

It takes a lot of skill and talent to leave a dozen or so left of base without scoring a single run. This entire team should be ashamed of that ****ty performance tonight.

I'm sorry, but I am one of the biggest proponents and kool-aid drinkers of the Terry Ryan regime. But even I can admit they didn't do ANYTHING to solve the middle infield issues that have plagued this team for the better part of the past decade. It's one thing to want to give guys like Florimon/Dozier etc a shot, thats fine, but at least bring in ONE player you can count on for sure at 2B/SS instead of a bunch of huge question marks. Player of the year or not, it has always been said by talent evaluators that Dozier's most likely ceiling is that of a util player.

I don't get the Caroll hate, the dude had the 3rd or 4th highest OBP on the team last year, and while he won't knock the ball out of the park you know he will at least get on base and give you some chances to knock him in. Additionally he is very good defensively at 2B and can move over to SS or 3rd if need. No, he isn't the future, but at this point as long as the Twins are "in it" they need to be rolling with their best possible lineup. Once they fall 10 games out or whatever then let an inferior player like Dozier "prove" himself or not. Also the Twins really screwed the pooch by not address MI yet again. IMO the best thing that could happen this year is Doizer either wows us all and proves to be a legit 2B or he fails so miserably the Twins have no choice but to address it in the off-season. If he goes hot/cold ala Alexi Casilla and so many others it could end up being disastrous for us moving forward.

Florimon has been at least hitting decently (I know I know super super super small sample size) I think Ramirez is nothing special as well....which is why I would have prefered to give a guy like Thome the 25th spot. There is no need for this team to carry 5 OF's, esp when three of them need to be playing near every day anyways.

Listen I am not trying to create an issue, just stating what I believe to be true, I hope I am wrong but I have had this gut feeling about Dozier for the past year and a half, I had the same one with Kevin Slowey and people told me I was crazy as well. I hope I am wrong and Dozier sticks at 2B for at least a couple years. Also, why on earth was he not PH for?
