  1. Oh yeah I can't WAIT to be watching the Twins in the snow in 25 degrees this weekend...
  2. Some people thought that.... Most people didn't, also it doesn't take a baseball expert to see the difference between Parmelees offensive skill set and doziers
  3. You guys can have those opinions which is fine, just mark my words, dozier will never be a legit starter in the majors, been saying it for the past year plus. He could be a mediocre util guy for a year or two but that is the best case scenario. I hope I am proven wrong. But I doubt it. Now that he isn't a SS he actually needs to contribute with the bat.
  4. Big difference, parmelee, plouffe and Doumit have all shown big league success. Hicks is a top tier talent who prob has been rushed, florimon and Escobar are both AAAA players just like Dozier.
  5. Dozier as util I could handle. He just will never hit enough to be an everyday player (as I have stated for the past year+) his approach at the plate is consistently terrible.
  6. Haha, I live in NYC haven't had a license in half a decade.
  7. Carroll>>>>>>>>>>>>>> DeRosa >>>>>>>>>> Dozier
  8. The guy is not a major league player and will just end up being another nobody in the long line of terrible Twins middle infielders of the 2000's also shame on Gardy for letting him hit as the tieing run in the 9th
  9. Will do! Opening days are always the best, tailgates everywhere and everyone is in a good mood. Hope the twins can win this series as well, it would be nice to at least have hope this season for a month or two at least, and at the end of the day....if you keep winning you never know what can happen!
  10. Best seafood city in America is Seattle sir! Which I get to spend a few weeks in this summer
  11. Yeah I will be at the game today tomorrow and wed. Then most likely to St. Louis for a game Thursday then Minnesota for the twins vs mets series, (though prob going to a wild game that sat). Hopefully the twins continue to win. Best part is I have business folks to see in St. Louis and Minnesota so the trip ends up working out perfectly.
  12. My baseball road trip continues...
  13. Go get him!
  14. The short answer to your question is: yes. Because guys who are viewed as starters in an org typically are viewed as having better stuff and at least two plus pitches.
  15. I will be at that game tomorrow followed by the Royals series then the Mets series. Roadtrip!
  16. Didn't see the game, how did Correia look? Can't complain with 2 runs over 7 IP, we all hate the contract but who knows, if he can eat some innings and have a somewhat respectable ERA maybe he can be a solid #5 guy for us over the next two years. (Or be tradeable)
  17. Fantastic trade today for Pominville, our first line is now on par with the top teams in the league. Sucks giving up two solid prospects, but Backstrom still prob has another year or two in him.
  18. noooooooo!!!!!!
  19. Yes, if Mauer ends up getting injured significantly the rest of his career he may not make the hall of fame but you are really stretching at this point.
  20. I have faith personally in Ryan, his trades this off season were very well and other than the Correia signing which was bad, all his other signings since taking back over were pretty good! I am anxious to see if he can get some solid value for Willingham, morneau and possibly Perkins as 2014 should be exciting as the twins will have a ton of payroll and guys like Hicks, Arcia, Gibson, Meyer and maybe even May ready to contribute quite a bit!
  21. I would also like to see Willingham with elite defense and speed on the base paths. At the end of the day Mauer is who he is, and that is a hall of fame catcher.
  22. So what is everyone's thoughts on WAR?
  23. I think it's telling because the Twins KNOW they are rebuilding at this point and there is zero reason to start wasting money for no reason. I still am pretty confident that both Morneau and Willingham were shopped late last season and this off-season, but since there wasn't an immediate in house replacement Ryan knows that he can wait until the deadline this year to possibly get better value then what was offered before.
