  1. Manea won't fall that far
  2. No, you can never have enough talent. Look what happened this last off season, we traded from a position of strength to acquire pitching prospects
  3. Harold Reynolds says he would take Stewart #1
  4. Once upon a time Morales was one of the Twins best prospects and one of the glut of CF they had in the system, in 2011 and 2012 Morales seemed to hit a wall and really fell off the map in Ft Myers, now, still just 23 Morales has pieced himself together a nice 2013 in Ft Myers. Stikeouts remain an issue, but his power and average are both up quite a bit (298 and .518 slugging) Could be an interesting player to keep an eye on again moving forward.
  5. Why would they need to reach out to either one? Its not like they will be "tough signings"
  6. At some point perhaps the Twins were tired of giving every day at bats for 2 years to a guy hitting below .190 (.550 OPS) who possibly had some "clubhouse" issues to boot. The Twins gave him plenty of chances/at bats, at some point they needed to move on and give those at bats to someone else who could possibly help the big league club some day, taking him off the 40 man was nicer to him then just sitting his ass on the bench.
  7. The real question is, now that Profar is up in the bigs, is Buxton the best prospect in all of baseball? Methinks, yes.
  8. Any young Latin boys we should be looking at in round 2?
  9. No way. The Twins have proven they will take the best player available time and time again, no way they would let Gray or Morran past them. The only reason they would let Appel past them is if they knew they wouldn't be able to sign him.
  10. The only thing that would MAYBE raise a red flag is if he took aderall to preform better in baseball, I took one of my ex gf's pills last year before a baseball game last season to see if it would effect my game, and low and behold it did in fact make me focus/pick up the pitches better. But then again if that was the case he could easily get a scrip. Cocaine-fueled multi night orgies would put him #1 in my book, ahead of Bryce Harper. (Can't wait for that guy crying about us talking about drinking beer to find this thread)
  11. It makes sense, because all of the high school starters chosen are going to be high upside guys (thus why they are getting drafted out of high school) to me it seems arm injuries etc usually don't come into play later on once players are in the minors and throwing more than they ever have before (and harder)
  12. A girl, on the internet? Hi w-what is y-your..... q-question a-again? :o
  13. I'm not concerned Gray tested hot for adderall I am concerned that he wasn't smart enough to just go get a prescription for it, they hand those out like candy.
  14. The twins have won 7 of 8 and they have an opp to get a real nice player tomorrow....can we have one week where we just don't post depressing stuff?
  15. If you hate him so much then just watch the other teams feed? Or if you can't, just listen to the radio? I have been watching the least amount Of twins games in a long time due to life stuff, I find Bert to be pretty awesome when you tune into 2 or so games a week.
  16. Apologies for the typos I am on a phone
  17. You shouldn't ask for anything, more than likely the player would Hook him up like they always do.
  18. I like Bert, he isn't perfect but anytime you listen to someone for 3 hours a day 80 plus times a year of course you are going to get annoyed a bit, he's no Vin Scully, Dave Niehaus (RIP) or Steiner but he is better than a lot of alternatives. I feel the people who constantly rip him and dick really need to get over theirselves and lighten up a bit.
  19. The twins are 7-1 since releasing Joe Benson
  20. This team is suddenly fun to watch
  21. I'm sorry this is a complete and utter garbage list once I read this about Buxton: "He has plenty of bat speed and while his power isn't going to show up just yet, most feel he'll grow into it as he develops." So basically 7 HR and a .545 Slugging percentage means his power hasn't shown up? Honestly it looks like the "write up" was written before the season even started, pretty embarrassing from the freaking "Official" site of major league baseball.
  22. Dream scenario, Twins can stay "in it" trade for a SP at the deadline (without giving up any of the "studs" in the org which the list is getting larger by the day!), if Josh Johnson comes back healthy and somewhat effective maybe he is the target? Bring him back home to Minnesota and lock him into a 2-3 year deal possibly at a discount? Either way, though I doubt the Twins make the playoffs, I would like to see them in the hunt as long as possible to make these games watchable and hopefully allow Gardy and Andy to keep their jobs for the next couple years while the next group of kids come up!
  23. Just gotta keep winning, if DeDuno can prove to be solid, Diamond continues to improve and Gibson comes up strong this rotation could possibly stand a prayer of a chance later this year.
  24. I'm not trying to rain on his parade or anything...but Mays is prob one of the best 3 or so all around players in baseball history, it almost seems like the comp is more lazy then anything else. Trout I think is sorta lazy as well since he is so "recent", I'd like someone to come up with a good floor-mid-likely-ceiling-super ceiling (which is where Mays comes into play) comp list.
