  1. I can give Mauer a pass on that, only guy who has been hitting for the twins the last two games
  2. I mainly have issues with counting on Suzuki and Buxton at this stage of the season to drive in meaningful runs.
  3. Whatever happened to Aaron Crowe?
  4. Ha, I am. I just didn't see the swing.
  5. Anyone see the Nationals bunt with Rendon last night? Good lord.
  6. Yeah he has been looking better, but stands no chance against elite guys like Herrera at this point. (Which is fine, it will eventually "click")
  7. I honestly thought he did bunt, my bad. I didn't see "the swing" but it certainly came off the bat like a bunt. My buddy thought it was a bunt as well. My bad. (Still don't like the Nunez bunt decision fwiw)
  8. If you are gonna PH Buxton for Herrmann a week or two ago, why not PH him there against a guy he didn't have a prayer against? Sano can do his Kirk Gibson impression in that spot, or anyone else on the bench!
  9. he will, he is just very raw still. People forget that Trout (and like 99% of guys younger than 22) struggle when they first get called up
  10. Buxton versus 100 MpH, shocking he went down swinging Just an all around terrible inning of management by Molitor.
  11. Should Ph for bux here
  12. Yeah who didn't see that coming. Sweet work Molly. Sweet work. Bunting is stupid in general, up one run with your hottest hitter up and two worst hitters on deck? Unreal
  13. Not a big fan of bunting Escobar there. His bat has been too hot and Suzuki/Buxton aren't exactly mashers
  14. 1. Hicks RF 2. Dozier 2B 3. Mauer DH 4. Vargas 1B 5. Rosario LF 6. Nunez 3B (ugh) 7. Escobar SS 8 Suzuki C 9. Buxton CF
  15. Connie Mack couldn't have gone .500 or sniffed it with those lineups
  16. Tigers are a smart org, it's a smart move.
  17. Bad news for the Twins, Gardy instantly becomes best manager in the division.
  18. agreed. I liked getting Jepsen, I just think they gave up too much. Deal from a position of strength in the org (OF etc) not from a position of weakness (SP)
  19. The Harvey situation has nothing to do with the Berrios situation. One is coming off of Tommy John surgery, the other is not.
  20. Innings limits this conservative are a freaking joke.
  21. Milone has been great for the Twins and now allows them some flexibility heading into 2016. In a perfect world they would be able to move Nolasco and possibly Gibson or someone else to help fill in some other org holes (catcher!) to open up spots for Berrios, Duffman, Milone, etc heading into next year Santana Berrios Hughes Milone Duffey/May Not bad IMO.
  22. yeah. I'd call him up ASAP. I'd trust him more than Boyer, any LHP we have in the pen currently, and possibly even Fien at this point.
  23. Only if the other player coming over in the trade is either Stanton or Fernandez. Could you imagine a lineup featuring Stanton and Sano?
  24. Edgar Martinez
  25. I remember early in the season USA today did a full feature on Berrios, he said his first and biggest goal for 2015 was making it to the big leagues, even if that was aggressive. We can talk about pitch limits, etc all day until we are blue in the face, but I don't see how Berrios doing nothing but dominating every level didn't at least earn himself a spot on the major league roster at some point. Honestly, he should have been up 4 weeks ago to replace Pelfrey, if you shut him down, or limit his starts/innings at that point, fine, but he more than earned his shot with the big league club, and he hasn't been "blocked" for some time now.
