  1. Nick, no thoughts on the Dozier Dodgers imminent trade?
  2. Ahhh....good work though! Maybe it speeds up retirement still?
  3. I told you to do it man! J/K, hindsight 20/20 etc Nvidia has been one of my bigger "wins" stock wise in a long long time, so I am enjoying this wave. I just wish I had more balls and would have put more into it, unfortunately these damn weddings don't pay for themselves My Marijuana stocks unfortunately have leveled off a bit, a lot of question marks up in the air at this stage. I'd recommend continuing to invest in any energy/oil companies as well over the next couple months. Bitcoin still continuing to rise, still time to jump on that train, I'd bet that it hits $900 in the next 60 days.
  4. Wow, they actually built that casino. You think at some point cities would learn from the follies of Detroit, Atlantic City, LA etc...
  5. I think Santana's value will be higher this year at the trade deadline. I like Santana and all, but you can always find mid rotation guys on the FA market without having to give up assets to trade for one. Inevitably one team contending will be short a solid pitcher come the deadline, trade him then.
  6. Nothing wrong with taking some time to let the body and mind heal. The baseball grind is a tough one. 162 games, 81 on the road plus another 30-50 with ST and playoffs.
  7. The last thing the Twins should be doing at this stage is trading minor leaguers for "veteran" pitchers. I wouldn't mind Pom or Buch, but I don't want them to give up any player with a potential future here.
  8. I'd also be willing to bet anyone that Ramos gives a nice amount of more value in 2 years (1.5 years) then Castro does in 3 years for this team (one extra pitch frame strike per game included!)
  9. Wow, Rays continue to outclass the Twins every step of the way. They get Ramos on a fantastic two year deal, and we get stuck with a 1.0-1.5 WAR catcher for 3 years in Castro. Old habits die hard I suppose, Falvey/Levine should have completely cleaned the rest of the toxic front office house when they had the chance.
  10. Buxton may be faster, but Moncada is clearly the better base stealer at this point. Buxton does have him beat in the field (and arm) no doubt, but give me Moncada's other three tools over him in a heart beat.
  11. 100x this It truly illustrates just how poorly this team was ran over the last decade.
  12. Plenty of teams would give up that first rounder for him.
  13. Moncada is a significantly better prospect then Sano or Buxton.
  14. WOW Sale to the Red Sox. White Sox get Moncada who is a hall of famer in the making.
  15. I'd argue that Castro isn't objectively "good" He's probably a 1.0-1.4 WAR player.
  16. I'm definitely intrigued by Garver, good points.
  17. I'd argue the new boss doesn't have as much power as he would like over Molitor. Imo it's absurd ownership forced them to keep molitor around after the worst season in franchise history.
  18. Moving on from plouffe was a complete no brainer, I mean I'm glad it happened by I'm not going to claim that was a shrewd move by the FO. They should have traded Plouffe prior to last season, but water under the bridge Castro is a defensive catcher, yes, but 3 years is to long for a guy who is not even a 2 WAR player. 1-2 years would have been better.
  19. I don't think anyone brought up anything besides the PR part...
  20. I'd prefer they load up the front office with talent evaluators and stat guys, not guys stuck in the 1970's like Torri Hunter... I do like the Hawkins hire, Cuddy could be interesting as well. Hunter just reeks of "hey maybe this will sell tickets! Former Twins great!" Hopefully I'm wrong.
  21. I keep hearing talk of platoon, but the thing with a platoon is you need a second good player to pair with him. I don't see it currently.
  22. Strong start? I'd pump the breaks quite a bit for a catcher who is declining by the year and who's greatest asset is "pitch framing" which adds about one strike per game. Castro maybe adds one win a year, only 30 more to go!
