  1. Yeah, they likely are a 70-75 win team unfortunately once you take "good luck" out of the equation, now if they can cut bait/playingtime etc with Nolasco, Fien, Santana, Suzuki, Milone and give said playing time to Berrios, Kepler, Murphy, Duffey, May (rotation) and any number of minor league bullpen arms, perhaps then can end up being a 77-82 win team (86 win team if they get luck on their side again)
  2. Hopefully they feel the "hot seat" for the first time in their careers. It certainly helped the Wild make big changes when needed. Kepler for Santana is a win win no matter what because at worst this means Santana won't be randomly hitting 2nd 3 games in a row or so. Excited to see what Kepler can/will do, not sure where he will play exactly though, he shouldn't be taking playing time from Sano, and I'm a bit worried about a Kepler-Buxton-Sano OF. (Though to be fair, I may be underestimating his defensive potential) But good to see the kid get a shot regardless.
  3. Fien shouldn't be given another day in a twins uniform.
  4. Is it still too early to be concerned about this team?
  5. And it's all on Terry Ryan. Jepsen isn't bad, but he isn't the "shutdown 8th inning" guy you need in 2016 MLB. Fien? Sucks. May? Good, but should be a starter anyways. Pressley? Promise for sure. Perkins? TBD The Bullepn is just reason number 30,000 to fire Terry Ryan.
  6. Sneaking out of the neighbors cocktail party (ugh) to come back and catch some of this game, just saw Abad get out of a bases loaded jam. For Rocketpig's sake Twins! The Rotation/Bullpen has actually been solid thus far! Get some god damn runs and get a win!
  7. Escobar! Seriously, I know SSS, Eary Season blah blah blah, but this guy needs to be hitting leadoff for us starting tomorrow!
  8. Don't quit your day (social security? pension?) job?
  9. Gotta get at least one run here. You don't want to get into a bullpen game with this club, especially if you are down.
  10. I don't think Buxton has "earned" it yet, he is still strike out too much to be a leadoff hitter, but I definitely would but Escobar in lead-off for now. Temp batting order: Escobar Mauer Sano Dozier Ploufe etc Batting order once Buxton starts to turn a corner: Buxton Mauer Sano Dozier Plouffe Escobar Batting order once Buxton becomes the Stud Elite/MVP Type player he can/will be: Escobar Buxton Sano Dozier Mauer Plouffe etc etc Or you could go: Escobar Mauer Buxton Sano
  11. That or a "topless only" club.
  12. The problem with Bernie has been and remains to be: He doesn't have any real solutions for wealth redistribution, corruption etc. The minute people actually start to focus on these non solutions, he is toast, the Daily News article proved as much already, but since he isn't a legitimate candidate at this stage with any real chance to win the Dem nomination, nobody really cares.
  13. Yeah, Ervin looking "good" will be key for this team, can stabilize a lot of the rotation that is full of some other...question marks/rookies/etc
  14. This is true, I snagged "Sky Suite" tickets for $25 for next Wednesdays game late last night. If the Delta Sky Suite section is anything like the Yankee ones, I think it will end up being a good deal (especially if it is a little chilly out)
  15. Yes they "happen" but they will/can/do happen a lot more when you have people in the OF who don't know the position playing out there. Kubel's injury was just bad luck, no doubt, but look at how much that injury set him back career wise. That should have been warning enough.
  16. They aren't, but it's kinda funny how they suddenly happen at a higher rate when you are forcing a guy to play a position he shouldn't be playing in the first place/has never played in his career.... Car crashes aren't contagious as well, but if someone has a 6 pack of beer prior to driving suddenly those chances become slightly higher....(sort of like sticking a guy out in the OF who hasn't played there before/isn't built to play in the OF) it's really playing with fire when you don't have to.
  17. Not a good AB by Buxton....
  18. Just catching a couple innings now, I am SHOCKED the Twins have only one run thus far.
  19. With Schwarber out for the season with the ACL UCL tears, does this make any of us more worried about the Sano in the OF expierment?
  20. Keep in mind, if it came down to Trump vs Bernie, almost certainly you would see Trump gravitate much more to the "middle" during the general election, the "Wall", "Muslims are the problem" rhetoric would go away and he would hammer away on Bernie. Trump could actually beat Bernie, Trump can't beat Hilary. Thank God Bernie doesn't have a chance though, so this will all remain a hypothetical.
  21. Also, polls this early re: GE are so misleading and pointless anyways. The right has been taking jabs at Hilary this whole time (because she is clearly going to win the nom) they haven't said one word about Sanders, the minute Trump or someone else "rips" into Sanders then his GE numbers plummet. "True" independents and middle of the road voters would run for the hills from Bernie, I certainly wouldn't vote for him, I don't need my taxes going up in order for some pipe dream of "let's break up the banks! Let's make college free!" non sense.
  22. Dude, literally the very first one has Clinton doing better than Sanders in the general (and seriously, why wouldn't you check something like that before (incorrectly) talking down to me? Here ya go: Friday, April 8 Race/Topic (Click to Sort) Poll Results Spread New York: Trump vs. Clinton Emerson Clinton 54, Trump 36 Clinton +18 New York: Cruz vs. Clinton Emerson Clinton 58, Cruz 30 Clinton +28 New York: Kasich vs. Clinton Emerson Clinton 48, Kasich 41 Clinton +7 New York: Trump vs. Sanders Emerson Sanders 51, Trump 38 Sanders +13 New York: Cruz vs. Sanders Emerson Sanders 56, Cruz 29 Sanders +27 2 out of 2!
