  1. Anyone else watch this show? I got in late, but good lord. This might be the funniest TV show currently on. I like it even better than Southpark and Archer at this stage.
  2. Yuuuuuup It goes all the way to the near top. Either management knew, or they were the most ignorant bozos on the planet. Either one should warrant firings.
  3. Dozier >>>> span It ain't even close imo
  4. Prosecute the **** out of them. I don't care what their sales goals were and how crappy a company was they worked for, you can't steal Peoples Identities, social security numbers etc and commit fraud. Just because you work for a crap company doesn't give you immunity from being a felon. Leave the job and get a new one. Jesus. Also I find it epic right now that a Wells Fargo ad is running an inch below the "post" button here. I had a checking and savings account with Wells Fargo, I canceled it today and moved it to my chase account (until they get busted for this nonsense I will just use them and BoA) my banker here in the city for wells Fargo was begging me to stay with them, it was clear he knew that this was only the tip of the iceberg with this crap.
  5. Why on earth would any sucked buy Twins season tickets at this point? Over the last 5 years for 95% of the games you could have bought the exact same seats on stubhub for at least 50% a game, if not significantly more. I went to the game Wed night, I snagged a pair of tickets that retail for $80+ each for $15 each.
  6. Not stock market related, but you should all check out betterment.com My returns have been better on there then any traditional brokerage firm, and thy also have the lowest fees I have seen(0.15%, plus every time I refer someone I get 6 months free) Basically they have a tighter product/company then your troweprices etc of the world, and the results out pace them by a % or so as well.
  7. I'd like Alex, even if he fails I would love to have a GM who was actually aggressive and would make a run to "win it all" when it makes sense. The Bradford for a 1st round and 4th round pick may go down as a stupid trade, but I will be damned if I ever get too upset about it, Speilman is going for a super bowl win, and as a fan, I love it.
  8. Swing states still look good for Hillary, this was to be expected though, things tighten back up during down times. I think once the debates start Hillary really pulls away with this race. Though, tbh I am a bit nervous. We are having our wedding in Montreal next summer just to be on the safe side on the off chance that trump wins Sadly, that isn't a 100% joke.
  9. A Mauer RBIs debate eh? Good lord, this has been a long season!
  10. I'd like to wager $500 on Parker winning said race. 8:7 odds sounds about right.
  11. Yeah, Trevor has at least antother 3-4 years ahead of him in this league. Best of luck to him moving forward, SF, NYY, NYM, could all be potential landing spots for him next year.
  12. Frankly, I would much rather watch Meyer pitch right now then: Gibson (and his 5.60 ERA) Dean- Terrible Santiago- Terrible
  13. Fun fact: Meyer likely would be the 2nd or 3rd best SP on this 25 man roster. Santana Berrios Meyer Gibson Dumpster fire
  14. Santiago isn't a middle of the rotation arm though, he is basically Nolasco with a smaller contract. Santiago hopefully isn't brought back next season. It was still dumb to give up Meyer in that trade, you can talk about the walks all you want, but on a team this crappy, Meyer was one of the better close to ML ready SP options this club had.
  15. I would do that in a heartbeat for sure, highly doubt the Dodgers would though. Also not so fun fact: Meyer pitched fantastic for the LAA today in his start (pitch count of 68 pitches) 5k's in 3IP, 1 H, 1 R Hopefully the next regime knows what a sunk cost is, and doesn't give away one of our best 2 or 3 arms in the system in order to trade away a guy like Nolasco. We all agree the Twins pitching is a freaking disaster, which makes the moves like dumping Meyer and moving May to the pen even more head scratching. Basically, I don't think we need to move Dozier to improve our pitching, we just need a front office that is the exact opposite of the old one/current one.
  16. I know inhale been down on Molitor for a long time, so I am biased, but I honestly don't know how anyone can defend him at this stage. He is clearly out of his element.
  17. Polanco in the 9 hole could be appealing. Him and Buxton could do some double steals from time to time.
  18. Not sure I like batting one of Sano or Dozier that low in the 5 spot. What about this for Opening day: Buxton Kepler Sano Dozier Mauer Park?? Rosario Etc Etc Etc
  19. I'm all for moving Ervin, but it has to again be for the right package. I.e. One close to major league ready pitcher with slightly more upside then Santana (in a year or so) and another pitching prospect with good upside (2-3 years out) Basically pitching needs to be priorities A B C D and maybe even E heading into the next two years. Catcher maybe fits in there for E as well
  20. How do you know what Miller, Liriano, Chatwood etc would cost? Why does Hughes get no benefit of the doubt for being able to come back from injury? Dozier has increased his power significantly each of the last 4 seasons, thinking that he can keep it up (or match this season) isn't nearly as absurd as you are making it out to be. Additionally I never said to spend $250 million on an ace. Plenty of great pitchers have been signed for a ton less (see: Cueto this yet) Back to dozier Most of his bombs are no doubters, let's not pretend he is just getting lucky up their at the plate or something. You act like he is turning 36 or something, this idea that he is going to for sure decline in his age 30 season seems a little overkill to be honest, especially with him as mentioned showing improvement power wise each of the last four years. Anyways, I'm done discussing this with you, clearly we disagree and you have no desire to discuss reasonably, instead just tossing in hyperbole left and right. I respect your opinion that they should trade him, I just think they need to aim for an ace, and nothing less. 2B (who are at least league average fielding wise) who hit 40 HR and a .926 ops are very special, they are the kind of players you build around. Of course that's just my opinion.
  21. No I said trade for any of chat wood, Liriano and Miller this off season, that a healthy Hughes and a more experienced Berrios improves the rotation for 2017, after the season you sign an ace. Dozier just hit number 39, he might be a 40 HR hitter by 9:30 pm tonight at this pace, and a 50 HR guy by season end. I wouldn't give dozier 100 million extension, I would tear up his current deal: give him 9 mil each of next two seasons, and 3 years at 18 million for the extension. Which basically works out to an extra 60 million or so for him for sticking around for 3 more seasons. 20 mil a year basically, all he needs to do is be a 3.5 war player to be worth it at that price point, likely he is a 5-6.5 war player though through age 33. Mauers money is off the books then too, along with some others I believe, plenty of money to sign an ace after 2017. Lastly, cool it with the fantasy world hyperbole, everyone else is being respectful of each other, your hyperbole for dismissing me is getting tired.
  22. As I have said now, 5 or 6? Times, by all means trade Dozier for an ace (top 15 pitcher in baseball) No thanks to a stroman type. After next year the FA SP is very sexy: Cueto Darvish Arrieta Tanaka Cobb Lackey Kennedy Loris no Chatwood Just to name a few. You can try to trade for Chatwood or someone like that this off season (wouldn't cost dozier) of you can trade for Liriano as well. In the meantime, sign dozier to a 2-3 year extension and have your core set. Twins would have plenty of money at that time to sign a top flight pitcher or two. Twins aren't going to go from 105 losses to the playoffs next year anyways. It's gonna take 2 years, dozier and his 40+ hrs should be part of that core.
  23. It's spelled humor, you silly canuck
  24. I would have gladly given up Hu+Berrios+Milone for hamels. No brainer really. Kepler could have been replaced with any number of other prospects to be honest in that trade scenario.
  25. Glad you are just responding to these questions with nothing but snark and memes claiming I was throwing a hissy fit. Oh well, traffic is down these days anyways down 30% in August and Sept. I guess everyone just wants this season to end including the mods. Hopefully next season we will have an actual baseball team to discuss Football/hockey seasons can't start soon enough.
