  1. Round 26 Justin Jones LHP Cal
  2. They better find the bug soon. 5 years in, striking out just over 1 in 3 at bats lefthanded.
  3. Round 21 TTech Catcher Bo Altobelli Round 22 Oregon HS catcher Joshua Graham Round 23 U/Nebraska P Travis Huber
  4. How many more years does he need to hit in the low .200s vs RHP? it's been that way all the way through. Hits well right-handed, struggles left-handed.
  5. Ditto Arcia. Quit the switch-hitting now.
  6. You're optimistic on 4-5 years. These are the Twins. This year: GCL IF he's signed, else he plays GCL NEXT year. Then Eliz Then Beloit-maybe 3 years gone already in this scenario if Buxton doesn't get signed until late.
  7. If they're going to play him, keep him in a corner OF spot. I just don't think in CF the arm is going to help them. Not that Span has a cannon either. Just bugs me to see teams run, run, run on them, and the Twins too often are plodding base-to-base. That said, seeing more aggression on the bases, such as Monday night, is a welcome sight. Overdue. Revere has to get more line drives, less chops on the ground. Some gaps. He could, IF he can figure it out, lead the league in 3-baggers.
  8. Premiere player? No. A guy who can get on base and set things up? yes. Concerns. Seeing guys go first/third on any single hit his way, regardless of how deep it is when he's in RF Seeing the outfield play so shallow that singles with RISP at 2nd are a huge risk on sending guys. Accuracy, or lack of. The throws to the plate from LF have not been very close.
  9. yes Please do so. Can't draft well, might as well do better in signing a guy.
  10. Another project. They're working so well in this org.
  11. These are the Twins. LaVelle says already he's guessing the whole series.
  12. Hicks and Arcia should be stopped from Switch-Hitting. Start working the side that they're most effective at.
  13. Arcia had 4 more hits. Am hopeful he will be promoted to AA at the all-star break.
  14. Miracle staff has been getting pounded. Look for some bullpen guys to wind up on the DL before the year is over. Serious over-use
  15. GO IOWA. Way to go Hermsen. Someone else's misfortune has turned into success for him. If not for owies/promotions, he'd still be in Ft.Myers. One situation where a forced promotion has paid off. Looking forward to seeing some others get moving soon.
  16. How about the Twins advance scouts figure out how to attack other team's players?
  17. Many believe that he may eventually need to move to the bullpen. It’s way too early to know that. This seems to be the Twins problem. Draft guys high that either wash out or have to go to the bullpen.
  18. One of the biggest decisions kids have to make is balancing getting a scholarship and playing college ball vs a contract and the mlb system. Recent case in point is Nathan Striz. Twins drafted him in the 5th round,he went to NCarolina. Tribe took him 3 years later in the 22nd round. And he's nowhere near the bigs. Would he have accomplished more if signed by MN? Who knows. Seriously difficult decisions to make. Hermsen was drafted the 6th round in 2008,Twins paid over slot, he passed on OR state and now is doing well in AA. You just never know.
  19. Tootle Bashore Osterbrock Among those in the last 4 years also lost to arm surgery and gone now.
  20. Typical Twins. They'll lose Wimmers thru next summer, maybe a month or so. Don't draft Gioloto(sp), he'll just wind up having TJ surgery too, given the "Twins way" of rest/rehab.
  21. .259 2HR/12 RBI. Gotta get the strike zone down,Brian, only 2 BB/19 K. Have faith in you BD, keep working hard.
  22. Or they don't believe in signing a ton of re-treads every year. Only Humber this year and he's had one good outing. And they don't believe in pitching to impact.
  23. I'd have promoted a bullpen guy and moved someone up to the rotation. At least DeVries is stretched out.
  24. Valencia lights it up, sits vs RHP. Perhaps the Twins should bring him up and platoon him more. Send one or 2 of the slappy CFs on the roster back to the minors.
