  1. Holding his own through 14 games .279 3 doubles/2HR/8RBI/2BB/11K Room for improvement, .292 OBP .426 SLG for a .719 OPS.
  2. 2-1 after 3. De Los Santos thrown out at home on a delayed double steal.
  3. 2-zip, Bromberg with a WP,allowing a 2nd runner to plate.
  4. Bromberg's starter scoreless streak is over at 20, allowing a rbi single in the 3rd inning today.
  5. Dozier with his 2nd big league HR. ALready 1 more than several guys up lots longer on this sad-sack hitting team.
  6. 5 pitch first for Lowe. Impressive (not)
  7. So in his pre-game comments Gardy doesn't see how they can go down to 12 pitchers. Great, to interleague ball with a weak bench and bloated staff. Should work great.
  8. Do they even have a strategy, Mike? I sure can't tell what it is right now. Only thing I can tell is the direction. Down. And staying down. Lead the majors in ground ball %. Hint: This is not the Metrodome. Slappy singles hitters don't get the turf hit any more. Yet the roster has multiple slappy hitters. Unreal.
  9. Wings scored 2 times in the 9th. Had tying run on with 1 out, and Tosoni got picked off. Lost 6-4.
  10. 6-2. Wise allowed an inherited runner to score in the 7th.
  11. Wings losing 5-2 in the 7th. DeVries has given up 2 solo HRs. Valencia 1-3/double/R. 2 unearned runs, due to DeVries throwing error.
  12. Seth, what do you think of them toying with Florimon at SS, then moving Dozier to 3rd? I don't care for the idea. Just getting established at SS and bump over? Of course, the Twins infield is so weak power-wise, what does it matter? What a team they have assembled.
  13. Send Burnett out. Give Gray more ops to sink or swim. If he swims pawn him off for a Player to be named later.
  14. PINK SHOES. Congrats Brian on the HR! Now I'm reading in Souhan's column/blog that the thought is out there to bring up Florimon at SS, and move Dozier to 3B to cover that gaping hole. Can't say I'd be thrilled with that.
  15. Thurston had the boot in Robertson's only batter. Odd looking line for Robertson, took the loss 0IP 1R/1UER/0H/0BB/0K
  16. Inherited 2 runners in the bottom of the 8th today(thursday) and gave up a 2 run double for his first blown save. Roch lost 7-6.
  17. The bullpen is getting awfully crowded. Who is next to start in the bigs? They're running out of options(some would say they already have).
  18. Mastro leaves, further gutting the RWings, so they get the poor hitting castoffs. Walters, one of the most effective starters is nabbed. Can't wait for the AAA complaints to pile up.
  19. Moves for moves' sake. Mastro and Komatsu are the same. No one else to bring up at this point, thanks to the putrid depth in position players. FOUR slap-hitting CF types now on the 40 man roster. Yuck. Would have been better IF: Burroughs had hit; Valencia hits lefties, would have been a decent platoon option. Morneau injury Insistence of carrying 13 pitchers As for trending? eh, who cares. Those fancy stats don't mean much. It's what they see and go on gut feeling.
  20. Check this out on the Twins from Neyer. Sounds like Osterbrock was another mis-diagnosed pitcher. http://mlb.sbnation.com/2012/5/8/3007475/minnesota-twins-dan-osterbrock-scott-baker-injuries
  21. Look at this breaking ball, which is known to be quite good. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=21202131
  22. No, Guerra is used to working a couple innings. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=P&sid=t534&t=p_pbp&pid=500610 had a dozen innings in 7 games in AA. This is nothing new to him. And he's been quite effective.
  23. Another nice Dozier evening at the Target. Multiple smooth fielding plays, a couple hits/first RBI, a walk. Handled the #2 spot in the lineup well.
  24. Only 2 teams in MLB don't have double-digit wins. Both in this mediocre division.
  25. Wouldn't have to spend some time coaching. Robin Ventura, CHISOX coach, has zero managing experience until now.
