  1. Nothin is happen because the big guns haven't come up yet. it' just testing the waters.. Haven't any of you done auction drafts? Haven't any of you made trades? I have made thousands of them.
  2. Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star reports that the Royals have had discussions about trading top prospect Wil Myers for either James Shields or Jon Lester. The Royals have already added Ervin Santana via trade this offseason from the Angels and recently signed Jeremy Guthrie to a three-year contract, but they want a true front-line starter and are apparently willing to deal one of the most promising young hitters in the game in order to acquire one. Myers, 21, batted .314/.387/.600 with 37 home runs and 109 RBI in 134 games this past season between the Double-A and Triple-A levels
  3. Clements tore up his left knee bad in 2011 and had surgery on it before that. pobably why he is at dh and 1b now.
  4. I suppose he still could catch fire, I remember him well.
  5. Good players win, poor players lose, so money will win out over all.
  6. The Twins are considering Kyle Gibson for their Opening Day rotation. Gibson is almost fully recovered from Tommy John surgery and finished with 75 innings between the regular season and Arizona Fall League. With only Scott Diamond returning to next year's rotation, there's little upside for the Twins to stash him if he's still healthy in spring training. Earlier this offseason, GM Terry Ryan said he expects Gibson to be limited to 140 innings in 2013. Source: ESPN 1500 Twin Citie

  8. Sunday night in Toronto, the final game of the 2012 CFL season will come to a close, as the hometown Toronto Argonauts battle the Calgary Stampeders in the historic 100th Grey Cup at Rogers Centre.
  9. Morneau can hit .300 Parmelee can.t hit .250
  10. I would say 2 for 25m would be alot closer.
  11. Myers would be ok, but we need one alot better.
  12. I would think there is some good buys out there on black Friday, get with it!
  13. No, all a pile of junk, sign someone really good for 5 or 6 years. You get what you pay for, why waste money and time on crap?
  14. Rockies signed RHP Jeff Manship to a minor league contract. Manship was limited to 12 games with the Twins last season, but posted a 2.91 ERA in 80-plus innings at the Triple-A level. The deal is expected to include an invite to spring training.
  15. Reds won't trade Hamilton or pitching so dream on.

  17. I have fallowed every Twins game sine 1961, so the Twins have been a big part of my life. I'm also thankfull that I found the Twins daily, lt's something new and exciting in my life.
  18. It's all bull crap. The most expensive pitchers are no more injury prone than the cheap ones, Expensive pitchers value goes up and in 6 years inflation goes up to so you save money there. The cheap pitcher might not even be around in 2 years, there goes your investment and future.
  19. Seattle is not a great place to hit, just ask Beltre. Chone still has career ba of .280 and has average over 40 sb.
  20. I still think Chone could be great! Could he be our 2b? Price would have to be right.
  21. The Twins can do both. they an sign a top of the line FA pitcher for 6 or more years and still wait out another FA pitcher. They just can't afford again to go cheap and wait 2 or 3 more years to improve there team.
  22. Royals signed RHP Jeremy Guthrie to a three-year, $25 million contract. Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star reported the contract information. Guthrie will make $5 million next season, $11 million in 2014 and $9 million in 2015. The Royals were reportedly unwilling to offer more than two years, but they ultimately caved to keep him in the fold. Guthrie earned the big payday after posting an impressive 3.16 ERA and 56/19 K/BB ratio over 91 innings after coming over from the Rockies in July. He'll be at the front of the Royals' rotation next season along with recent acquisition Ervin Santana.
  23. Why Jays already have Lind & Cooper, far better than what the Twins got!
  24. John Buck is also a great right hand power hitting catcher who hit 20 hrs and a .281 ba in 2010 for the Jays, a very good replacement for Butera.
