  1. I’d have to say Falvey, Levine, Joe Pohlad, Rocco, the staff, and his teammates also had something to do with saving the off-season. Also Boras and maybe even some of the fan base. Point being, giving so much credit to one person overlooks some of the other praiseworthy participants.
  2. And if there have already been multiple second chances, all ending rather poorly?
  3. Since so many proclaim him an upstanding citizen, I could see him being highly sought after as a pre-school teacher.
  4. Which is precisely what the Twins should offer, and it should look very much like years 2-3 of the original 3 year contract.
  5. You just know the problem will turn out to be bilateral leg weakness.
  6. Once more, let him opt back in to year two of the original three year deal. And he can opt out again at the end of the season. That will give time for Lewis and Lee to prepare.
  7. Whenever I see this guy’s name I can’t help but think of Fozzie Bear.
  8. Fwiw, I’d rather the organization pour the unspent funds into the Twins Community Fund to provide assistance to needy youth in the area. They already make a good contribution but there’s always more to do.
  9. I think there might be a correlation/causation question to be discovered here.
  10. Sure, reversing the close games can make all the difference. Compare the 2022 Vikings with the 2021 edition and that becomes clear. Keeping a healthy and relatively stable squad, and challenging for the division seems a realistic goal. Beyond that the path is a lot thornier.
  11. I’d put Kepler as just a notch below Denard Span. So a possible pitching prospect. Alex Meyer obviously didn’t work out as hoped, but he was considered pretty high calibre at the time of the trade.
  12. I’m confused. Does Chris Paddack remind you of your mother, or a cigar?
  13. If Boras calls I’d say he could opt back into year 2 of 3. Pending a physical, of course.
  14. Nope, nope, nope.
  15. As the wise man said: ”You got to know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em. Know when to walk away, and know when to run…”
  16. Just wait until the diagnosis of bilateral leg weakness comes out.
  17. A) The Twins dodged a bullet bigtime here. B) What will the fallout be if the Mets haven’t bought a championship?
  18. Replacement left-handed power hitter.
