  1. I'm not going to kick, whichever way Gardy chooses. Depends on whether he wants his bullpen to get a little work in, versus having his starter try to go 7. Can accomplish both by sending him out but with a one-baserunner leash and the bullpen firing on all cylinders right away.
  2. After some processing, sure; knock yourself out. / obGame: c'mon Scottie, bear down
  3. Apparently you don't have to be 30+ years old to earn the right to throw > 100 pitches in a game, in some corners of the league.
  4. Whoever clicks Like for me the most times this game gets a date with the Avatar girl. / air fare to American Samoa not included
  5. And here I was worried that *I* would jinx things by showing up and posting during that good streak of innings.
  6. So you have to die to win? Then here's rooting for an early win for you, Chief. / I keed, I keed
  7. Not a mod, but: It's for people who use the Internet. You can just skip it.
  8. You were saying you would send $200 to the address given in my blog....
  9. National Lampoon had a sports issue one time in which a player was listed on the DL as having a sprained body, or perhaps it was ruptured body, I forget which.
  10. Only 16 pitches for Anibal that inning. At this rate he might still go 5. Twins need to put a stop to that.
  11. If it's stupid, and it works, then it's not stupid.
  12. *yawn* Just woke up. Before I start work today, I'll check on the... holy smokes, they're playing, and the Twins are up 3-0 already? Hope I don't jinx anything by posting.
  13. This quote from Ozzie should close the discussion. "I love USAFChief. I respect USAFChief. You know why? A lot of people have wanted to kill USAFChief for the last 60 years, but that S.O.B. is still here."
  14. Pelfrey and Deduno aren't quite interchangeable, since the latter is not on the 40-man roster. Someone (probably not Pelf) would need to be dropped if Deduno is added. That makes them related but separate issues.

No idea whether BBF is the source for that hideously ugly photoshoop or if they just stole it fair and square like I did.
  16. Pelf is entitled to refuse a AAA assignment, though he does have an option remaining if he does choose to accept. It is probably too far-fetched to believe that Gardy left him in to face Fielder so that if the worst happened Pelf would maybe be persuaded to accept the demotion, but that thought still crosses my mind.
  17. Nice job, Bullpen. If we need any barn doors locked, after the starter has let all the horses out, we know where to turn.
  18. OK, gotta go grab dinner. Let me know if the game turns ugly or anything.
  19. Second prize, of course, being twice the number of tickets.
  20. So close. So close. A guy dies and is sent to Hell. Satan meets him, shows him doors to three rooms, and says he must choose one to spend eternity in. In the first room, people are standing in sh*t up to their necks. "You don't need to show me the others. I'll take this one. The next one might be Vance Worley in a blender," the guys says.
  21. Winner winner chicken dinner. Don Mossi, widely regarded as the ugliest player in MLB history, it is.
  22. A guy has a talking dog. He brings it to a talent scout. "This dog can speak English," he claims to the unimpressed agent. "Okay, Sport," the guys says to the dog, "what’s on the top of a house?" "Vance Worley in a blender?" the dog tries.
  23. The blonde girl gets posted as soon as someone guesses this guy's name. Should be an easy one for folks of a certain age.
  24. A guy meets a hooker in a bar. She says, "This is your lucky night. I’ve got a special game for you. I’ll do absolutely anything you want for $300, as long as you can say it in three words." The guy replies, "Hey, why not?" He pull his wallet out of his pocket, and one at a time lays three hundred-dollar bills on the bar. "Vance Worley, blender," he said tersely.
