    Lopez was acquired through trade for Arraez. Ober was developed by our farm system. Paddack was acquired through trading Taylor Rogers . Descalfini along with a top 100 prospect and relief pitcher were acquired through trading Polanco. Varland is being ceveloped, as are the next three or four potential starters in line. Jax is a draftee and Thielbar is a native and on and on. The vast majority of our very good staff was either developed by or acquired by trade of players developed by our system. I agree the Pohlads won't spend and the organization is horrible at PR, but there's more than one way to skin a cat.

    I'm gonna get railroaded for this..Let's look at it in a different way. We had Sonny for 2yrs at 12mil each for a Class A pitcher at the time. Burnes would cost us 15mil for one year of the 2 other lottery tickets and Julien just for argument's sake, an improvement over Sonny. So, we will have procured 3yrs of in their prime Cy Young Award and runnerup pitchers and 2 first round comp picks for 39 mil and 3 lottery tickets and Julien with a damn good chance of competing for the whole ball of wax. In my opinion. What does the sabermetric calculations think of that deal?

    Burnes is projected to make 15.1 million in 24. He is a stud. I'd offer the 2 pitchers and Julien. If they don't take it move on.

    How about this. Trade Kepler, Polanco, and one of the young left-handed outfielders (not Wallner) for a for a top or near top of the rotation starter. Araez at first, second and DH, Joey in right, left, first and DH, Farmer wherever, and figure out shortstop on the fly. Mix and match and see what we have.

    I'll come to a couple games a year. The Misses and I are 63. We're from up north a ways but currently live in the Northwest Metro. We went to a Cleveland and KC game last summer. 2 tickets, top of lower deck right field. 40 bucks apiece. A beer, a water, a pretzel, and a cold kamarchik? polish. 112 bucks. 2 people, one game. Did it twice accept I got a cold greasy phiily the second game. 15 bucs parking twice. 254 bucks total for the two games. Buxton ran into the fence against Cleveland and wasn't the same the rest of the year. I love the Twins as does my wife. We'll follow them on TV and radio. But we won't attend in person again until ownership and management is relaced.

    And he is a heckuva good guy also. My son took his one month old son to the winter caravan, or whatever it's now called,Jan 20 in Fargo. Arraez talked to, signed objects,and took pictures with them all the while with a huge smile and sincere demeanor. My son says he is a good humanbeing.
