    WHY WHY WHY take a player out of a role they are flourishing in, to put them in a role that they have proven to not have success in??

    Wasn't being 'flippant' about JT.....more about how these don't tend to end well. Mn has shown w/high picks---Gibson aside--that pitchers who have surgery are slow tracked back & basically forgotten about before they get released

    Generally, I think official scoring around the majors is horrendous. IMO, fielding is so devalued that I cannot look @ errors anymore which led me/others to metrics fielding. A play should either have been made or not been made....regardless of speed/ range/etc

    Remembering back, when I said top 10....I think I had him10/11 before we got Meyer/May, so I stand by top 15. I wish they would push some draftees more in their draft yr, but ELIZ was fine. MN tends to handle college guys as slowly as HS draftees, when they are separate types of players as far as maturity. As streaky as he is, he needs maybe another month to prove this week isn't a fluke.....but guys with MUCH less numbers get promoted. Im not saying rush a prospect, but when a guy has shown he can easily handle a level...get him promoted rather than goin by age/level/etc rather than waiting for a guy to fail to justify your decision to wait a full season.

    so.....do you/Twins promote due to age (ridiculous IMO) or due to production at the level you're at. Not saying promote him tomorrow, but he's in line with another solid month for June 1st. Love to see how his power translates to pitcher friendly FSL but also playing with Sano (protecting him in lineup).

    ROC could use another legit player....not that Nate Hanson cant play 3B, but his shot to majors is to get some time @ 2B also.

    I was pimping Walker all last season & even argued that he should have been a top 10 prospect (was for me) & he is showing this year that he is for real. His time in Iowa SHOULD be short lived!!

    nice to get Hermann goin for the inevitable 3rd C spot as Butera is getting ready to come back. Funny how I heard TR talkin about the draft & how they need to add Cs. 5 on the 40man with Leachman/Koch as hitters & Lehman/Rohlfing as defensive guys seems like its pretty deep to me.

    Clete Thomas is next in line if they pull the plug on Hicks, but everyone knows how that will end. Guys had plenty of chances & wont do much more than Aaron is already doin.

    Gomez is one of blossoming stars in baseball. Glad we got JJ Hardy for him, which we turned into Hoey/Jacobsen. This could also turn out to be one of Bill Smiths most haunting trades as he's turned the corner, but Gardy preferred the far lesser talented but fundamental Denard Span.

    Arcia started 13' in Ft Myers & is with the Twins in 14 w/9 AAA gms & he while he's a top prospect, he's not in Sano's category. He will be up in Sept IF he plays well this entire year.

    Ive said since he was signed....it was for 4 months until Kyle Gibson/Alex Meyer/Trevor May take over Aug 1ish. Timetable may have moved up as he has absolutely no value

    Sano will get a June promotion to AA & I believe he'll get a Sept callup with a good 3 months. He will be in the hunt for the starting 3B slot next spring training. Twins have proven with many prospects that they don't take AAA seriously for hitters if they succeed in AA.

    baby steps.....is started the year week 1 but his week 3 numbers.....people would be encouraged. NO question he needs to start hitting, but some peripheral numbers are there this week.

    Exactly....Doumit is very fine for his 35-40 starts for the bat he brings. Butera brought nothing to the table as a fine defensive catcher. Both get overexposed for different things when they paly too often. Im actually in camp to get Arcia more ABs as DH & have Doumit on bench.....tho that means Gardy will refuse to use him as a PH.

    Twins have never been a 'new school' type of team but one thing Hicks has kept doin is drawing walks. This week, Aaron went only 1-8 but had only 1K but 6 walks which led to him stealing his first 2 bases & scoring 4 runs. Id rather take this type of OBP player than Ben Revere.

    no way Gardy was gonna keep a guy who gave up one run in 5 innings in cold in his last start. He'd rather have a Pelphrey or Hernandez or Worley battle his tail off & give up 5/6/7 runs. Seriously, I think its time to deal Hendriks as MN has given up on him
