  1. What's the best way to fix a fist size hole in drywall?

  3. Don't ship to Canada? ......lame.
  4. You're right it was under Teague but it was certainly Maturi and Kaler's deal. The fact Maturi stayed on with the University afterwards was even more baffling to me.
  5. I'm offended, you people just dont know how to make it and for some bizarre reason still insist on putting ketchup on it, that's yuck! LOVE the Kramarchuks stand, Tony O's cuban is a huge winner, would love to see a decent Jucy Lucy offering. As far as the 'za goes, I agree the Papa John's call is pretty poor, I'd be on board with Luce or Punch but would love to be able to grab some Lola at a game. Oh well, the beer will make up for a lot this year.
  6. I don't quite understand this belief that Gardy is bad with young players, I mean he's worked with a lot of young players who later became successful with the team. It seems he gets a lot of flak for being a bit of a straightshooter with some young players who just are not all that good and perhaps don't appreciate the truth. I know there has been talk of him throwing some younger players under the bus last year and that caused some apparent unrest. I still believe there was not a single young player last year that had earned any right to cop that attitude, they should all feel fortunate to be playing at the major league level at all. Hope this added to the conversation, hopefully it ups my percentage of non-trolling posts to 61%.
  7. Man, I can't wait for the season to start...... http://cdn.ebaumsworld.com/picture/Rizzor/beatingadeadhorse.gif
  8. Really, we care about this? I guess this answers any question as to whether Swarzak would clear waivers or not. Something I also care little to nothing about.
  9. Oh, I got the "opinion" part, it's my opinion that opinions on clubhouse dynamics and what goes on between players are lame.
  10. Yeah, you added that disclaimer and then ended that paragraph with pretty much a statement of fact, if that is your opinion you should try backing it up with some facts, other than the team having a couple of bad seasons.
  11. Really? You know this? Tell me more about what goes on in the Twins clubhouse. It may very well be time for Gardy to go, just because it's been a pretty long run, not because of any percieved failures. He fills in the lineup card, he's won, he's lost, he's a product of his talent, much like most managers.
  12. No extortion necessary, just Joel Maturi as an AD, one of many financial fiascos.
  13. Definitely time for Tubby to go, his recruiting has always been spotty at best but in his defense, it's going to continue to be a tough grind until a practice facility gets built for his successor. The team underachieved last year and particularly this year with Mbakwe back for a 6th year. No leadership, lack of discipline on the court, terrible use of his bench for most of the season and seemingly a real inability to get his teams to adjust when faced with difficult situations.

  15. Well dang it, I'm coming to town Monday, missed it by that much. Have fun, win Twins.
  16. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
  17. Ok, 8 pitches thown, 4 were obviously balls, only 2 could have been straight down the middle that he took for strikes, so my limited math tells me Joe took a couple of cuts there. How do you criticize a guy for not swinging at bad pitches and more than likely worsening the team's position as opposed to loading the bases with still just one out.
  18. But they had great intensity.
  19. Not to get all personal but this exactly the type of cliched nonsense that gets spewed out there about how leaders are supposed to act. I`ll add one thing, if you are a professional athlete, playing in the playoffs or the championship series and you need some other player to inspire you by being Mr. Rah Rah, you don`t belong there. A good leader keeps his wits about him when it seems all hell is breaking loose, he`s the calm in the storm that allows everyone else to keep their focus. What does emotion do for you when the pressure is on except give you some false bravado.
  20. Where is the convincing arguement that Morneau can't revert to his old form, or close to it? Don't tell me it's because of this alleged fog in his head? Based on the guy's career track record and age, betting against him being an elite hitter again is fools gold. I'm with Shane, he OPS's north of .850, book it.
  21. Another concussion expert, where do they all come from?
  22. I remember this garbage column from last year, I think it's all BS he made up. Jim Souhan: Clueless Joe not cutting it any more | StarTribune.com You contrast this POS to the story Tim Keown wrote for ESPN last year and wonder how Souhan even has a job. The basic idea some people have of a leader in sports is so tired and cliche. You don't get as good as Mauer without being a tireless worker, willing to put in the hours it takes to be the best. That's an example to his teammates on what it takes to succeed, leaders set an example and it' obvious Joe does. The fact he does it with grace and humility is even more impressive to me, those are the most appealing traits of a leader in my mind. If I was around a guy like Mauer, I'd definitely be doing everything I could to be my best, I'd feel like I owed it to him.
  23. Back to Deduno, 7 K's in 4 innings is the most interesting thing any Twin pitcher has done this spring.....by far. Against a real lineup no less.
  24. I'm with ya http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/angry/desperate-rage-smiley-emoticon.gif
  25. Yet, you're 3 posts into this non-issue, maybe this lightning rod thing needs further discussion after all.
