  1. Well, at least there's Arcia....
  2. North Dakota starts in Manitoba?.........keep it. http://www.ndstudies.org/images/ggc/lake-aggassiz.gif
  3. Play him at catcher at least 1/3 of the time if not 2/3 of the time and DH him on the days Suzuki starts. Arcia or Hammer can DH on days Pinto starts and Suzuki can sit there with Kubel. This team does not need Chris Herrmann and should not feel an obligation to Kurt Suzuki at the expense of Pinto's development.
  4. It looks as though that could be a possibility.

  6. Entertaining? Not so sure, they've been interesting though. Arcia is one great breath of fresh air, you can't help but get excited when he's doing what he did last night.
  7. Things 50 cent is good at. 1. Rapping 2. Getting shot (courtesy nicksaviking) 3. umm, ...rapping. http://goldandorsmith.com/GIFs/FiftyCentFirstPitchFail.gif
  8. And the baseball gods lend their favour to the Twins yet again.....
  9. Good to see someone in the press not trying to excuse or rationalize what a pitiful situation the Twins have created.
  10. Didn't Pinto hit a HR against the Giants? In the late innings? Gardy must have missed that. Pinto not playing, WTF?
  11. Twins have had the first base dugout since I've been going to games there, which has been since 2010.
  12. I think Hicks giving up switch hitting will be a positive for him in his ultimate development. I don't understand leaving him to flail away at pitching he can't handle with the opinion that he'll eventually just figure it out though, how is that a benefit? It's clear Hicks needs to refine his approach, groove a swing that is able to make solid and consistent contact and build his confidence. Personally I think that is best done in AAA, he's just not able to have the sustained success in the majors for it to happen. It couldn't hurt his defensive development either. Pressure is a big mental hurdle for young players to overcome, Hicks is better served working on things where the stakes are lower and the spotlight not as bright. The Twins should be pursuing a stop gap to back up Fuld when he returns, or vice versa, whatever.
  13. Wow, who saw that coming?! With the assumption that Santana goes down when Fuld is healthy I'm very curious as to where they plan to play him in Rochester. He's clearly no CF, at least at the major league level at this point, but I swear if he gets jacked around down there for the likes of P-Flo and Herrmann, I'm going to lose my lunch.
  14. Kubel is a no brainer to me, Suzuki sits when Pinto is catching because he has absolutely no other value. On the days Suzuki catches DH Pinto, if Hammer has been the DH then sit him, if he has been in LF let Arcia play there instead of being the DH. Outfield defense is apparently of no concern to the Twins anyway.
  15. Anderson, gotta be Anderson.
  16. Future outfield? Yes I hope they have one in the future
  17. Colabello and Herrmann go, Santana will stick around to back up CF until Fuld is back.
  18. Arcia and Hammer can't come back fast enough.
  19. Whoa, Pinto! Down 0-2 and homers, nice!!
  20. I think the latter, last year it was pretty easy to get outs by making the Twins chase. Whether it's Bruno or Molly or perhaps both, the Twins are clearly trying a more disciplined approach, catching some teams unprepared early. Now that teams have had time to adjust we're seeing them attack the zone more. It will be interesting to see how the Twins are able to adjust from here, a number of hitters simply have to start making better contact on hittable pitches.
  21. Hermann up, not holding breath. Fool me once.....
  22. Sandoval with the RBI sand wedge......damn
