    Hicks should have and would have spent time in AAA (like he is now) had Ryan put any semblance of a back up plan together in CF in 2013. The fact they did it again without any reason the following year is even more inexplicable. The Twins ultimately got Sam Fuld to save Hicks from himself, how hard could that have been at the very beginning?

    Think if those poor Blue Jays and their fans who have to endure not one, but two anthems every home game. My favourite NHL games to attend are the ones between the Jets and another Canadian team, because that means a one anthem night. I get why they are played, I don't hate it but I could do without it, seems a rather perfunctory duty to most anyway. Save it for international events, it's about the only time it's relevant for every player and fans of a given team.

    I'm happy for Hicks, I think he's been royally jacked by this team the past two years. They ram rodded him through the system instead of finding a CF to bridge the gap after trading away Span and Revere. Hicks past failure was largely at the feet of Ryan, at least now he is in a position to succeed or fail on his own, if he is indeed "ready".

    No wager necessary, I think you're right. Didn't mean to imply he was some kind of stud, just that being a reasonably good player that could get streaky in the minors isn't an indication of anything but that. You can still have the Molson regardless.

    AAA was never Florimon's problem, it was bringing it to the major league level. He never showed he could even remotely handle big league pitching, simply over matched.
