  1. I'm a fan of " These Eyes"..... wait....oops.
  2. Just make sure it's 500 words or less , k? Thx
  3. Usually? Pretty sure you meant Always!
  4. Hmmmm, Nolasco vs the Tigers or Rangers- Caps? Decision likely made for me by the 3rd inning I'm guessing.
  5. See what you've done Ash, Game Thread intro's are now tributes to War and Peace.........thanks alot! Just joking Hrbowski, great job...........................................even if I didn't read it all............................................................I kid, I kid.
  6. That's cool, personally I think the innovative power and tactical standards of present day MLB managers is a bit overstated in how it effects the outcomes of most games. I don't see Molitor as some great innovator but I don't see him as a dinosaur either, he strikes me as a guy who is at least open to change and willing to evolve.
  7. No, just when the best time to use him is depending on the situation. I guess the reluctance for some comes from the fact he's been a MLB manager for 33 games, that's all really.
  8. I realize he's not perfect and everything works in hindsight. I'll agree with you that a few decisions have had that similar old scent to them, but more concerned about the decisions he makes in late July and August and if they are the same ones.
  9. I'm confident Molitor will learn from this and if presented with a similar situation make a better decision. It's May, it's one game, let's not get carried away here.
  10. Wait...what? We can't talk about endless hypothetical situations that are most likely to only happen every time the earths shifts off it's axis? Well damn, I got nothing then.
  11. Well, Twins lost but so did the Canadiens so I'm about 50/50 on the downer/happiness meter. Nice to see another solid effort by KG, a couple pokes by big Kennys and Hicks making something happen.
  12. Whew! When I came in to check things out I was afraid people would be overreacting. Very relieved that's not the case.
  13. We learned none of us know anything about skipping generational transfer taxes.....or transferring generational skipping taxes......or generating taxable skip transfers. Or something to that effect. Except Glunn apparently, but then again what doesn't a Beverly Hills Lawyer know?
  14. Pfffft! Like that sounds hard......
  15. I guess the main thing preventing that is the pesky little problem called Joe Mauer.
  16. I think sending him down to rake AAA pitching again makes him even lazier, what's to be gained? I don't believe there is anything left for Arcia down there that is going to help his game in the big leagues, imo it happens with the Twins or it just doesn't but it's far too early to pull up stakes.
  17. If they send him down he'll do the same thing as last time, mash the crap out of the pitching and OPS in the 1100-1200 range, prompting another call up inside a couple of weeks. He's never going to be a major league outfielder and he's not going to learn plate discipline at AAA, he doesn't need it there. Stick him at DH and hope he starts to figure it out at some point, he's still ridiculously young. That means sending Vargas down. The bigger issue remains having three players who all profile as full time DH's. A good problem to have provided they're all hitting, not such a good one if they aren't.
  18. Agreed, doubling down on it was the worse of the two for sure, especially since they already had Presley at their disposal to wait it out.
  19. At some point in 2013 you're probably right, I just think even in hindsight it made more sense to follow the approach they took this year. Hicks should have started the year in AAA and been called up based on his play. I'm a TR fan overall, I don't have much issue with where he has brought the team, I didn't even have a problem when he traded both Span and Revere considering the return. But to this day I'm still perplexed at how he put all his eggs in the Aaron Hicks basket that year and even worse, the next.
