  1. Lol, I love that book, check out the YouTube video, it's worth it.
  2. Will vouch for Black Sheep, although busy and it's small. They will serve pints while you wait for your table though. Pizzeria Lola was life altering pizza for me however, the best I've had, although not downtown. Definitely second the nod to Barbette, for breakfast or for late night pints, it's a gem in Uptown and right across the street from the previously mentioned Lake and Irving. Stella's in Uptown is also good, nice rooftop patio and good food. Cuzzy's is a good breakfast too, if you like dives. Around the corner from Target and up the street from Fulton's brewery and tap room. Manny's and Murray's are both top class steak houses (Manny's is around the corner from Hell's Kitchen and Murray's is on 6th, straight out the gates of Target), but sticking with the North Loop theme. J.D. Hoyt's Supper Club and Monte Carlo are excellent and more affordable. Brit's Pub is a good place, as is Kieran's Irish pub, which is literally across the street from Target, literally. So many more to name, so little time. Enjoy
  3. Wait...are we talking about the same Twins Daily?
  4. Triple Crown, for sure. If I were a Punch and Judy hitter with an OPS of .656, Twins Daily would rip me to shreds and run me out of town, Joe Dimaggio or not.
  5. Oops, good catch.....it was late........http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/images/smilies/booboo.gif
  6. Correct, I'm glad I was able to teach you something. The adventure of life is learning after all. You're welcome
  7. That's not lowbrow, I eat way more peanuts than other nuts. I love those candied peanuts, my teeth not so much.
  8. Like anything isn't good covered in dark chocolate, let's look at things on their own merit please. Salted almonds are good, otherwise, not so much. Pistachios are very good, as are cashews and Brazil nuts. Remember red pistachios? Trivia question, how are the disappearance of red pistachios and the 1979 Iran hostage crisis linked?
  9. I'm not a grouch, a cynic yes, but not a grouch.
  10. I'd do it if I can arrange an "all persons fictitious " disclaimer at the beginning of each episode. That would work........right? Still pretty risky, I'm the same as Levi, I'm lucky if I can recall even a snippet of what I've been dreaming about.
  11. Welcome, enjoy the game and we expect a full report post game.

  13. Well, since taste and smell are inter-related and 75% of taste is smell, I'll lose my taste and taste my food with my smell.
  14. This is the same story that appeared in the Washington Post. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-supreme-court-scalia-dead-20160214-story.html This point seems to contradict your statement, and perhaps the reliability of your source. Poindexter and one other person knocked on his room door, didn't get an answer, and went inside. "Everything was in perfect order. He was in his pajamas, peacefully, in bed," Poindexter said, adding that Scalia had been his usual affable self at the ranch and that "his behavior was entirely natural and normal.'' Do you work for Fox News by any chance?

  16. Thanks for sharing, darn good Canadian kid. Not sure how many know this but Morneau's Dad George was quite the hockey player in his day as well and actually attended training camp with the North Stars a couple of times.
  17. The slippery slope argument is so lame, surest way for nothing to ever change
  18. Is there a chance you're reading into this? I mean, maybe just a teensy, weensy, little, itty bit possible that you're wrong about the OP's intent? Looking at it rationally, I think it's clear it's intended to convey a big news and nothing more sinister.
  19. Uhh...wut? I didn't get intelligence boost yet.
  20. And miss out on taking free shots at Mauer and having the chance to win the "I told you so" sweepstakes? Seems almost dignified, the high road awaits.
  21. I'm choosing the intelligence with the hopes it would enable me to find a way to fix all the stupid people.
  22. I'm glad I live in a country where if 16 1st graders were shot to death the first priority would be to do everything possible to prevent it from ever happening again. If that means a whole lot of people are restricted in the number of firearms they can own, or the types of firearms they can purchase, then that's what would happen and that's what should happen. I don't mean this as a slight but your view is exactly what the rest of the Western world sees as what's wrong with your country. Your sense of priorities and the sacrifices your willing to make in the name of some warped sense of freedom completely baffles me.
  23. I'd go bow and arrow, if I were into killing things. Since I'm not, my butcher sells a mean venison, much safer.
