  1. No cream in a Black Russian, I prefer the Black myself, although I enjoyed a few too many in Mexico a couple of years back and it's become one of those no go zones . Pistachios, love 'em. Nobody answered my red pistachio trivia question a while back. No worries, it wasn't all that interesting.
  2. http://i.imgur.com/UTLttnx.gifSpeaking of funny ...........love the look on his face, priceless.
  3. Well I'll be trying that for sure, completely by coincidence and not at all planned we're having enchiladas tonight. Clearly the universe is speaking to me.......in my language.
  4. Because everyone knows you can trust the bank.....
  5. Yeah, this kind of patronizing crap just ends up showing how clueless these guys are for the most part.
  6. Meh, I think it was likely more that Pelf and Correia fit the bill as a couple of cheap pieces to eat up some innings while the team was lost in the wilderness, I think the scouts knew who they were. Worley and Meyers made sense at the time, if the scouts misjudged Meyer as a potential front line starter, well, I guess that's never happened before.
  7. I don't think this is very true, more likely they were looking at options and decided Murphy provided a somewhat realistic chance to give them some depth at a reasonable price and some control. They had obviously come to the conclusion that Hicks was expendable enough to allow them to try and fill an org need. I don't know this for sure, but then again you don't know if they scouted every player who has ever worn a cup and decided that Murphy is their future mainstay behind the plate either.
  8. Exactly, what the hell kind of relationship do TR and Joe have? TR thinks he's fine? Why the hell not just bloody well ask him?
  9. I don't think there is any doubt they want Murphy to be the guy, eventually he's going to become the main man at some point this season. Zuke is not a part of this team's future beyond this season at the very most, but he allows Murphy some security at not being thrown to the wolves right out of the gate as the everyday starter. I don't think it will be that long before Murphy proves to be an upgrade over Zuke, offensively that is likely to be pretty minimal this year, hopefully more substantially next. At the end of the day though this team isn't lacking for offense that they need much out of the catcher spot, if he can OPS in the .700 range then it's his defensive improvement that will best serve the team more than Suzuki.
  10. This seems to be the most sensible scenario imo, very likely this is how it plays out and probably should.
  11. What qualifies as a sticky bun? That sounds rather open ended. If a glazed cinnamon bun qualifies then it's off to Tall Grass bakery before hockey tomorrow morning. I love cherry pie Sweet potato fries are good, if made correctly. Other than that I can't think of much use for a sweet potato. Seems like it wouldn't partner all that well with a margarita though, c'est la vie.
  12. Yes,just to be clear, most of the country debates the French language, Quebec debates in French and nobody understands what they're talking about, but nobody really cares either.
  13. Close, it's a curling match between two polar bears and 6 walrus......oh and of course the seal clubbing contest, but we won't get into that. It hasn't been the same since John Candy died, so Johnny LaRue doesn't moderate the debates anymore.
  14. It's still Grimley in a landslide, if Cruz is Canadian he must be from Alberta, so that doesn't count. We just voted in our new Prime Minister, are you telling me the 6 month campaign and French language debates weren't prime time viewing 24/7 on your networks? I don't understand.
  15. Mint chocolate chip ice cream......oh yah!!
  16. Hard Times is only a few blocks from the Cedar/Riverside Metro stop if I remember correctly. Easy to get to from Downtown and a cheap ride.
  17. Great spot but be prepared to wait, with 16 counter stools it's tough to get in much of the time.
  18. I'd vote for Ed Grimley before any current Republican nominee....if I were American.
  19. I've simply never been able to acquire a taste for something that I imagine is what a dirty sweat sock, stuffed with moss and soaked in gasoline tastes like. So yeah, not a scotch guy.
  20. Start with these.
  21. Lol, I take it your wife never sees this site? At least I hope for your sake she doesn't.
  22. No, my kids aren't picky at all, we never catered to that when they were young so they have a taste for pretty much everything, definitely helps when we eat out because we can go to places we like and not McDonalds and the like. It's just the daily grind of getting home from work and having to make something in a short period of time because someone has to be somewhere, usually when it's the last thing you feel like doing.
  23. My wife and I have a busy life, between our jobs and our two children things can be pretty hectic. Meal planning and preparation is one of the most difficult things to constantly balance so I'd pick the chef, easily.
  24. I thought you were off the sugar? Or is it just refined sugar?
  25. Not a wine guy, an occasional glass of white in the summer with some light appetizers maybe and very rarely some red with a beef dinner, but that's about my limit. I've never enjoyed drinking wine as a beverage on it's own.
