Not a Catholic, but as a Lutheran we would have to make a bust of Royce out of lutefisk to serve at the church lutefisk supper and smorgasbord every year.
My faves are the same as yours. Have to say I do remember Mark Davidson and watched a lot of games that year...but 102 games...🤪, definitely don't remember that... keep up the great work!
He was a player I followed if for the only reason that supposedly he was dating one of my elementary school teachers in the early 70s. Also hated when he was traded. Not a lot of players in the 70s for an impressionable kid to follow outside the usual suspects...
My Dad was our Little League coach and somehow he knew Sandy (early 70s). Sandy came to our practice one day and put a lot of work with us on fielding. It was a true joy on how passionate/animated he was. Plus it was a gas trying to understand him(think Tony O). Truly a memorable evening for us 10-12 yr olds. RIP❤️
Remember watching the game with Niekro and the Emory board. He was so busted and he was like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar-sure had a good laugh that night!
I don't pretend to know alot of advanced metrics, so my question is-with the porous defense last year-how is it quantified to games won and lost. Or with our run differential, could they have put me on the left side of the infield and still won 101...?
Loving the front desk reception snack idea! My suggestion would be to go total local-Nut Goodies, Bit O Honey, Salted Nut Rolls and Old Dutch Chips. All those coastees, once good taste hits them, won't want to leave!
