  1. I've never been comfortable with him as our closer. Too many right handed batters across the league can have even a slight advantage late in a game. I like Alcala and May
  2. Yeah, me too. Had the infield not been in with 1 out, bases loaded with a ground ball pitcher on the mound, we escape down by 1 in the 3rd. I have disagreed with some if his decisions this year & last including how he managed the pitching in the 19 ALDS
  3. Bam! Kaboom! Pow! Sound of door slamming...
  4. The new & improved scouting report on Mitch is in full effect. He will have to make adjustments to have success. Lets see if he can. I think he will
  5. I didn't agree with how Rocco had the defense set up in the 9th. Winning run was on SECOND BASE. Infield should not have been in. Play for a tie and take your chances in 10.
  6. He's ONE GUY. Yes he does well against the Twins. I'm not too worried
  7. This great lineup & improved rotation not playing a full season in front of fans is a crying shame

  8. "I don't have the science to back this up - but any team with Encarnacion on it is capable of splitting a season series with the Twins." Are you being serious? If so I strongly disagree with this statement. He accounts for 4-5 plate appearances a game. Thats it. I think a better statement would read: "Encarnacion in the middle of the YANKEES lineup can win a series anytime"
  9. Anthony Rendon. Solved, fixed, done, concluded...oh, sorry I dozed off there for a moment. What were we talking about again?
  10. I thought, based on your comments after game 1, that you had no problem with how Baldelli managed. Change of heart?
  11. I personally am looking very forward to watching the Astros squash the Yankees
  12. No matter what happens the rest of this series, this Twins team was REALLY FUN TO WATCH THIS YEAR. My 12 year old got me into baseball again this year, and I haven't had this much fun watching baseball in a long time. FSN puts out a great broadcast, and the product is great in my opinion. Was able to take my son up to Target Field for a game this year, and this 2019 Twins Team has provided us with a lot of great times this season. Go Twins!
  13. Baldelli seems like a nice guy, and I like him. But he is now on my "Joe Maddon List"; Nice guy but very questionable, almost self-sabotaging decisions in the post season
  14. I didn't get a chance to see any of the game. I read his line but how did Smeltzer look? Will he have a role in the ALDS? GO TWINS! IF WE BEAT THE YANKEES I WILL NOT BE TOO UPSET IF WE DONT MAKE IT TO THE SERIES. I WANT THE YANKEES!
  15. I feel bad for Harper. He had a good season going earlier on. He pitched in a lot of big spots and pitched well for us. He shouldn't be disparaged and cast off like he's nothing (I've read other comments about him here).
  16. I sure would have liked to see Rosario take a better route on that ball in left off the bat of Kipnis. What percentage of left fielders make that catch? Eddie comes up big with the bat, but it always seems to be a double edged sword with him.
  17. I've been critical of Eddie Rosario lately, but one of my favorite at bats from this game was the 4 pitch walk Eddie drew to load the bases in a huge spot in the 8th.
  18. Great write up and information. I agree 100%.
  19. Good point on Cruz, but I feel like he could have gotten something to swing at if he wouldn't have chased early in the count. Or maybe I've just been playing too much MLB the Show..
  20. "Cruz doesn't look healthy to me" I was thinking the same thing. He was beat before his at bats even started
  21. The line drive that Eddie Rosario didn't read properly and failed to catch cost his team 3 runs. To me he looked like someone giving a half hearted effort on a ball in some kind of recreational softball league. If catch made Dobnak would not have been pitching late to give up the home run. Would have liked to see Garver in the lineup somewhere, swinging too hot of a bat to not be in the lineup. Still disappointed in Eddie Rosario. I mean he had 20 home runs in May. I feel like he doesn't always give 100% effort. It's going to be tough against good pitching in a potential playoff series.
  22. I agree 100%. I've never liked Kepler in the lead off spot. He swings at the first pitch almost every time! If I'm the Twins hitters I want my lead off man to make the pitcher show me what he's got. He's a great player, and I'd like him anywhere but the lead off spot.
  23. You're right, Diaz had a bad night behind the plate, HOWEVER..when the opposing pitcher absolutely cannot find the strike zone, and walks the previous hitters, you HAVE to at least take 1 strike.
  24. Eddie Rosario's plate appearance with the bases loaded kills me. He was pitched 6 "Balls" and managed to make an out after Civale practically walked the bases loaded. If he would have walked in a run we would have been into their bullpen right then. Lucky for us Mitch Garver bailed us out tonight. Eddie's approach and plate discipline I think sometimes prevents him from being a great hitter instead of the good hitter that he is.
