    I know we are in a rebuild, but if we stay in contention through June and there are several potential aces that may be available such as Greinke, Darvish, and Cueto. Do we trade for one and what prospects would it take and we be willing to give up. Seems like we have 2 solid and a 5th starter in Santana, Santiago and Hughes. If Berrios comes up and succeeds we would just need 1 more starter. I would be willing to trade a Ss, bullpen, and maybe another prospect...maybe a package of Palka, Burdi, and Vielma....or if Thorpe or Gonsalves were needed to get someone would you do it? How much cash would need to be included in a Greinke trade?....

    I could see a dl visit with a 20 day rehad stint for Pressley before being designated for assignment

    Hiw much service time did berrios get last year. How long till we gain an extra year of control? Could that play into when he gets called up?

    Maybe the Twins trade for Darvish and make a run this year

    While i agree that high contact rates leads to a potential blown save, i do believe he will be consistant enough to do the job for now or atleast bridge till we get burdi or chargois going up here. I'm more co cerned about Gibson since i had expextations he could be a 3rd or 4th starter.

    I think Taylor Rogers is the biggest beneficiary of their improved D so far based on videos above. Samtana is 2nd

    If Ervin has the 2.23 era at the deadline, we are probably in the race and not trading him. Why trade him if we can make the playoffs with him?

    Not having Park up is a huge disappointment. I felt he earned his way back up. More than others. Well i guess the Twins have to wait for promotions so they have tje best team on the field before they earn my dollars. If Hughes needs more time. Like a few starts in extended spring training to work on results...should be on the DL and Park should be up. That too us a short term solution and a better one.

    TR did get Pressly in the rule 5 and seveloped Tonkin and finally Wimmers who starts in AAA. The new regeme did get Haley in rule 5 so they are getting talent just not great talent at this point. That is on the way so im not too disappointed cause these guys can suffice till the guns start making their way up. Would have liked to see Chargois up but he did give up lots of hits. Was he working on some pitches or make mistakes....

    .750 to .780 is a slight decline from whaat he put up before getting injured last year. The real question is how much will he play this year and how much of that will be at DH since Park or Vargas can both play 1B.

    Mauer will still get enouhh at bats to qualify for the batting title. But they will sit him more against lefties and he will swap with park at DH 30 to 40 games. I see mauer playing in 140 games with 25 to 30 as DH. So 520AB and approx .280 ave/ .350 obp/ .420 slg. Im rooting for 35 2bs and 10 -15Hrs (a little optimistic on power i know).

    I like the idea of Thad Levine to Yu Darvish connection. That would be great if we went out and got him after the season. It would take alot though as he likes Texas and they are competetice too. I do think that a strong pitcher will make the difference next year and there will only be 1 more year of Mauer at 23 million.

    I think Tonkin and Haley over Chargois and Duffey to start the season. Also i think its a toss up on Santana or that defensive specialist guy

    Lets see here this is Hughes second time pitching since surgery and his secondary pitches are working. He just needs to build up a little arm strength. And his location was good. Sounds like he is almost back. The question now us will he add 2 or 3 mph to his fastball by the end of spring. I like his chances alot. Put me down for over on his expected contributions this year.
