  1. Didn't get a good read and had to make sure it would drop
  2. Make no mistake... I have no confidence in him, but for some reason Molitor does
  3. I'm already wishing we had a RH power bat for a pinch hit for Buxton
  4. Well... Actually, I don't want to bat in the 9th
  5. We need to get a base runner. I really want Sano to get up in the 9th
  6. I should have clarified... Clearly, since Molitor is hitting Hunter 5th, he has confidence in him. Given this fact, I hate pinch running, with two outs in the 7th, for a guy hitting 5th. Now... I think Hunter should be hitting 9th (actually he should be on the bench) so I don't mind him not being in the game. So I don't mind it in that regard.
  7. Not that I want Hunter in this game, but I hate that pinch run call by Molitor
  8. May is probably feeling sluggish after crushing State Fair food all day.
  9. I think it was the "should have been strike 3" call that Duffey didn't get when it was 1st and 2nd with two out in the 5th.
  10. Twins bullpen has to be leading the league in first batter HR, right?
  11. With the issues the Twins have caused themselves recently, with overtaxing the bullpen, I see no reason not to call up the AAA pitchers that are on the 40-man roster. Not that it has happened a ton recently, but it drives me crazy when useful bullpen arms pitch in blowout games. It will become even more of a problem without Graham. He was our "well, we don't want to tax the good pitchers" pitcher. They will not be here to help us win the games they get in.... rather to help us win the games the day(s) after they get in.
  12. Someone said it earlier in the thread, but why would you call up Fryer when you can call up Pinto? The 3rd catcher is only there to provide a safety net in case something strange happens in a pinch hitting situation, so why not bring up the guy who would have potential other value besides being the emergency catcher?
  13. If he hadn't had that blowup 7th inning a couple starts ago, those numbers would be COMPLETELY ridiculous.
  14. Berrios since the MLB All-Star break 8 games 54 IP 1.62 ERA (11 ER) 0.77 WHIP (38H, 9 BB) 61 K (10.17 K/9)
  15. You touched on it, but what exactly is the point of Ryan watching Berrios' start tomorrow. JO already has 150ip (not SSS) and Ryan just watched him fan 12 in 7 shutout innings. On the spectrum of "16k no-hitter" to "not getting out of the first inning", what options are floating around in Ryan's head. TR: Well, if he throws a no-hitter, he can ride with me in first class back to MSP, but if he stinks then he stays in Rochester and has to be the one to tell all the other Sept 1 callups, with a sign around his neck that says "not ready" WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT TO SEE, TERRY?!?!
  16. Oooooh.... That was a decent chance for an inside the park HR, if it hadn't bounced over the fence.
  17. These fans are annoying loudmouths
