  1. It's good to be back! It will be a blast to keep tabs on Twins prospects again after last year's shrouded-in-secrecy alternate site.
  2. Loved the whole series, Nick. Thanks for providing some much-needed offseason content to get me by until opening day.
  3. Wow, after seeing the numbers all laid out, I wouldn't expect Cruz or Rosario back next year. Even if they plan to spend up to 100-115 mil, I would expect the majority of that to go towards a new super-utility guy, a back-up SS, one SP, and rounding out the bullpen. Doesn't leave much room for 10 mil+ sluggers.
  4. I couldn't agree more with this post. We need a right-handed corner outfielder that can hit for power. Rooker is tailor-made for that role.
  5. He's going to be a fixture for years to come! What a luxury to have two ++ homegrown catchers (assuming Mitch can turn it around sooner or later).
  6. It's time for Thorpe to spend a few weeks at the alternate site. He needs to refine his approach.
  7. Looks like the Twins might need one more bullpen game on Monday, but hopefully Hill or Bailey is ready to get back in the lineup after that. Nice to have an off-day today, but tomorrow kicks off a very long stretch of games.
  8. Rooker is 25...it's time to see what he's got. I think the Twins could find him ABs between 1B/OF/DH.
  9. I think MLB should have gone with 30 man rosters all season. I know it's hard to find that many guys playing time, but with the league-wide rash of injuries, it's showing just how important regular rest is.
  10. By my count, the Twins have 59 players for their 60-man roster. What's going on with that last spot?
  11. Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems more likely to me that Rortvedt is the backup catcher in 2021 and beyond, and Jeffers gets shipped out as a major piece in a trade this summer. Hope I'm wrong!
  12. Let's let him play more than 25 games in the Rookie League before we label him a bust. You posted at 1:02 am. Maybe lay off the sauce next time.
  13. Aren't these rankings of players as prospects rather than on their ability to contribute immediately? Seems like Enlow has a fairly high ceiling and is thus deserving of the #10 spot. Thorpe is like 4 years older, and even with his late development, more of a known quantity.
  14. Having guys like Sands and Colina at 16-20 shows you how deep this system is. Lots to look forward to out of his group.
  15. man, tons of interesting guys didn't make the cut for Top 20. Should be a fun year following both the big league club and the system as a whole.
  16. I trust Bowden's rankings basically not at all, but always good to see praise for our top guys.
  17. Treinen is such an interesting case. I wonder what the market will be? Short-term, high dollar? I'd love to let The Guru (Gus Johnson) get a crack at setting him straight.
  18. Thrilled to see that Royce has responded to the first rough patch of his young career with a stellar AFL performance. It was a great decision to send him out West.
  19. Wow, I had no idea his advanced metrics were so extreme... It definitely meets the eye test though. Arraez is the king of soft liners to the gaps.
  20. Royce is slashing.241/.297/.397 in 14 games at AA, but he's also 3.7 years below the average player age. Does his blue-chip prospect status hinge on how he starts the 2020 campaign, presuming he returns to AA? The Twins have been aggressive with him, but at some point I would hope to see another flash of his talent...
  21. I was worried about how Royce would adapt to AA (-3.7 age difference), but he seems to be holding his own so far. I suppose the real test will come when he's a bit more of a known quantity to So. League pitchers.
