  1. I keep waiting to see the Nolasco that pitched for us...
  2. If Ernie Banks was a Twin, even he would not say let's play 2 today...
  3. Offense tops it off with 13 Strikeouts. Maybe they just don't like playing at home.
  4. From what we have seen the last 3 days - possibly
  5. More positive....We do get to face Nolasco and Meyer in the LA series and Trout won't be playing.
  6. This looks like what the score would be if the Texans played the Vikings. Defensive battle or should I say lack of offense battle.
  7. I was about to add the same thing - Houston doesn't have a problem putting in a call-up with a 7-run lead. Let's see how it turns out.
  8. Can we just forfeit now and head on out to LA? Is there a point to continue this game to see if they can get 20 runs against us?
  9. Let's get 9 more runs this inning and top their 11 spot with a 12!
  10. Maybe that explains why Rosario missed the catch on Monday....
  11. Grossman struck out swinging this time - baby steps
  12. Polanco not looking too good lately offensively - he might need a day off.
  13. I guess what is slightly depressing is that we are at home, we didn't face the 3 top Astros starters in this series and we had Santana and Berrios pitching. And yet none of the games have ended up being close. Their hitters sure look locked in. Maybe we will do better when we play them in Houston and we can catch them in a cold spell.
  14. Need a big hit here Castro - turn this around....
  15. Taking a slightly different direction in regards to managing relief pitcher question here but did Molitor stay too long with Pressly? Walk the first batter, hit the next - granted you have a 6 run league and an overworked bullpen so you would give a longer leash than normal but when is it apparent the pitcher does not have it on this day? Pressly seems to be either good or terrible and it was starting off as the latter on Monday. My view watching the game real time - I expected one of the call-ups to come in to give the "regular" guys some rest with a 6 run lead. In the 8th inning there were a couple of difficult plays that could have been made in the outfield that would have limited the overall damage, but big picture, we do have to improve in the bullpen overall. Don't want to beat a dead horse but we should have done more in the offseason. Does not help that for the past 2 years our top young relief prospects have either gotten hurt or are taking longer to develop than we want.
  16. What a nice rally - good at-bats by Dozier, Grossman and Mauer!
  17. That was an ugly at-bat for Buxton. Just kept throwing the same pitch to him.
  18. Hey, Bark! I will encourage you to face your fear! Relating to crashes in the 80's - our high school choir was coming back from Europe flying into Atlanta in the 80's and we almost collided with another plane - we had to dive down at the last second to avoid a collision. Many did not want to take the 2nd leg of that flight back to New Orleans. It didn't immediately bother me but seeing all the frightened classmates must have impacted me later because since that time I do get anxious flying, but I keep doing it. I think technology has made flying very safe. And a little alcohol doesn't hurt. One unique flying story - My daughter had a seizure when we were driving home from vacation several years ago and it turned out to be caused by a brain tumor. So she was immediately Careflighted by helicopter to Dallas and one parent was able to ride along - that was one interesting experience from the take-off and landing to seeing the city at night. They gave me a helmet with microphone to wear so that we all could communicate in the helicopter. And a very Happy ending - our amazing neurosurgeon was able to successfully remove the tumor and my daughter is in great health today. That was about a $14K helicopter ride.
  19. Looking on the positive side of things we get to face Pelfrey on Tuesday
  20. We are icing Kimbrel - ready for our 11 run 9th inning rally.
