  1. Must have been - the town isn't big enough for 2 Big Sexy's
  2. Send in the Clowns - at least we have Colon pitching tomorrow.
  3. There goes the perfect game for Sasquatch
  4. Mejia is on pace for another short outing tonight
  5. Short sample size but games played in San Diego are played very quickly - everyone must be anxious to enjoy the scenery there.
  6. Looking on the positive side? that helps our LOB rate. We lead the lead in runners LOB per game so far this year and we were pretty high up last year as well. I am not sure if that indicates some combination that we are bad hitting with runners in scoring position or a bit unlucky.
  7. So not having the benefit of watching - Mauer did not score on the groundout to short but was later thrown out on a wild pitch? Was San Diego playing the infield in? Not off to a good start.
  8. I thoroughly enjoyed the speed of the game - fun to watch Berrios pitch like that. Not saying we shouldn't have traded Kintzler but he was our most consistent bullpen arm so he will be missed - I am hoping one or two folks step up - Hildenberger perhaps. Combine a shaky bullpen with a few starters who have trouble pitching over 5 innings and we could be seeing some pretty ugly games. That was a great catch by the ballgirl - sign her up - she can give Grossman some pointers.
  9. We wanted Busenitz we got Busenitz. The nose dive continues - Mayday Mayday
  10. At least they are losing fast!
  11. Granite another double play - ughh
  12. That was a legit hit in my book. Sano did all he could - runner just beat the throw.
  13. Nice to watch Berrios pitch!
  14. Not even a decent hard out - pop up - strike out and tapper back to the mound.
  15. Well that was ball four I believe. Close though
  16. Strikeout with the bases loaded and less than 2 outs - check.
  17. Following the old saying "A watched trade never consumates" . A little bit unusual for a trade to leak and then take this long to finalize the particulars. I will stop checking and let it come to me when it is ready.
  18. Anyone think we will score this inning? Place your bets
  19. Moving on up! https://www.facebook.com/HailStateBB/photos/a.248717025143475.80501.136769366338242/1804339469581215/?type=3&theater Rooker finishes at E-Town with 99 plates appearances .282/.364/.588. 7 HR's and 5 Doubles https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=rooker000bre
  20. Lucky - lol! ...and if they both bomb that would be filed under probable. They are banking on Colon reverting back to a prior year form while Gee has pitched well in AAA so far - less as well in his Major league stint this year. By pitching well in AAA I mean not allowing any runs - I have no idea how is stuff looked. I probably would have gone with Gee because we only need a short-term solution and would go with the more recent trending, but I have no demonstratable qualities to be a GM. They may have seen something in Colon they think can correct or they want his presence?
  21. Taking a look back Seattle did not get too much contribution from the highly rated prospects from Texas. Justin Smoak and Blake Bleaven were the 2 top prospects I believe and they contributed a small positive WAR. While Smoak did not achieve much success with Seattle he has had a terrific 1st half with Toronto this year. Seattle also threw in another pitcher Mark Lowe who gave up the game-winning homer for Texas in Game#6 of the 2011 World Series. Well, that is enough coverage of that trade in a Twins thread - not sure who the Twins were rumored to have offered for Lee.
