  1. Manoa could pitch a complete game at this rate.
  2. Interesting article about the Guardians and their rookie coach; the author (Tom Verducci) thinks they are for real: https://www.si.com/mlb/the-guardians-have-gone-retro-and-its-working-01hxhd9j2k5x
  3. Nice try by Julien but it's an easier throw for Correa.
  4. Provus pointing out that Julien and Larnach are out of the game. Two of our better bats.
  5. Kirilloff has really been in a funk. He's 1 for his last 17 with 7 Ks.
  6. With Chief not here, I feel obligated to come up with a joke that is Chief-like. (Chief-ian? Chief-esque?) Anyway, I'll try to think of a good elevator joke. They work on so many levels.
  7. You're probably right. Only 11 pitches thrown by Jax -- wouldn't mind seeing him go another inning.
  8. Let's hope this one goes to 11. Fun fact: In "Spinal Tap" Christopher Guest based the look of his character on guitarist Jeff Beck (recently departed).
  9. FWIW MLB.tv is a free perk provided over the last few years to TMobile cell phone customers. But yes, if you live in the local broadcast area you have to deal with the blackout restrictions.
  10. Yeah, a lot of bad at bats. 28 pitches by Soroka through three innings.
  11. In case others are interested: https://www.ocregister.com/2024/04/28/angels-promote-zac-kristofak-who-hopes-to-inspire-others-who-have-endured-tragedy/
  12. I get it that launch angle and hitting for power are vital. This roster is very one-dimensional and we can't steal bases or even run the bases very well due to the nature of the roster. So when the HRs don't show up, it's very difficult to produce runs. Even in this era it seems like the best offenses have at least some ability to manufacture runs without the long ball.
  13. You might want to adopt an NL team. I suggest the Reds; they are young, athletic, and can hit. Sort of the anti-Twins,
