  1. Deserves the 9th, too, after striking out the side!
  2. Bailey Ober would politely disagree.
  3. DH Canha just struck out with a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the 4th. I was holding my breath ...
  4. 95 MPH off the ear-flap. Left under his own power after a couple of minutes. Will be evaluated for concussion symptoms later on.
  5. The HBP count just keeps increasing. The Miranda hit-by-pitch makes 75 for the season, and he had to leave the game. MLB commissioner Rob Manfred needs to address this. It is really frustrating as a long-time Twins fan to witness our chances of chasing down the Guardians being derailed in this way.
  6. The American League record is 103 set by the Cleveland Indians in 2008. With 72 Hit by Pitch bruises, suffice it to say that the 2024 Minnesota Twins are on pace to break the record. Fines are in order if nothing else. Give the money to charity! From Baseball Almanac:
  7. All the Hit by Pitches absorbed by Twins hitters, especially from the hands of National League pitchers year after year, need to be addressed by MLB. Otherwise, the unwritten rules of baseball dictate that we "protect our hitters" by plunking (unintentionally, of course) some of the opposing team's best hitters. Our marquee players are spending too much time on the Injured List because of opposing pitcher egos. That said, it was a great series win for the Twins.
  8. Typical Twins. Outhitting PGH 7-2, but trailing 2-0. Undisciplined baserunning that I thought we got rid of when Eddie Rosario left. We are always trying to MAKE something happen and giving away scoring opportunities, which have been few and far between lately.
  9. It's exhausting following the Twins Gamecast on ESPN or MLB.com. I'm about ready to go to Des Moines and watch the I-Cubs in person so I can love baseball again. MLB and the three true outcomes (Strikeout, Walk, or Homerun) is getting old, especially for an old guy like me.
  10. Long time Twins fan. Tired of wilting whenever the Yankees come to town. Anemic offense needs to show more plate discipline. Outfield miscues show a lack of focus and perseverance. Please get mad and knock the snot out of Cleveland.
  11. Okay, I'll bite. What on earth did TC Bear do to cause such angst?
