    Can't wait. Two of 2025's top five pitchers so far going at it against offenses they should both dominate. I'm going with my son who has to work at 4:00 AM tomorrow, so no Nelly for us. I hope Buxton can play, but having him healthy for the second half is more important. I also hope the two star pitchers aren't on All-Star game prep pitch counts, but that may be wishful thinking, especially on the Skenes side.

    I was at the game with a whole row of Cubs fans in front of me as well. I have to say they were great fans and stayed and cheered for their team even after the six run explosion in the 8th. They cheered loudly for Justin "He's Still Got It" Turner when he hit his token bomb off Wentz. Going again on Thursday and hoping for another 30,000+ crowd and charged atmosphere.

    Good article. Main difference is the massive disparity in supporting actors. PCA is 5th on his team in OPS+ at 143. Buck is sitting at 138 and doesn't have another teammate with even a 120. PCA has four Gold Glove winners in front of him and flanking him. Buck has the shadow of C4 and his platinum. Also, disagree on Witt, Jr being not as vividly great. IMO, he looks like he's playing the game at a different speed, much the way young Randy Moss looked in football.

    The only two pitchers in the AL that are better than Joe Ryan are Tarik Skubal and Hunter Brown. All Star Selections The acronym doesn't lie.
