  1. .... and a seven pitch inning from Lynch with the victims of Murderer's Row due up in the 3rd.
  2. Yeah, 44 pitches through two innings with Baldelli on the bench isn't a good recipe for any kind of length.
  3. Way to go, Paddack. Just bury the team in the first.
  4. Hmmmph, Baldelli-ball. Time to find something else to do this evening.
  5. Might have to start calling a ****** day at the park for a pitcher an Ober Royale.
  6. This was the year that I started collecting cards as a 12 yo. It was probably also around this time that cards started being way overprinted, so none of the cards are worth anything. My brothers and I actually collected this whole set, and I still have it for nostalgia. I had to go to a local card dealer to buy the Oakland A's Leaders card (Canseco and McGwire) and Greg Swindell (Indians pitcher) to complete the set. Opening wax packs and rack packs were the joy of that summer. Another card dealer about a year later told me that I should have just bought the whole set and saved money, but to that young, financially-ignorant kid, it just wasn't the same.
  7. The "just switch to Fubo" argument doesn't work for a lot of folks. Domestic partners, housing complexes and establishment services are often involved in said switch. Also, having the people around you lose access to Twins games has a negative effect on the whole baseball experience. Most of the non-internet people that I watch or talk Twins with are cut off, and it really sucks. "F!ck Comcast" and "F!ck the Twins" have been common phrases in my circles, and it's just sad.
  8. Pretty much the norm these days. I clicked on this one for the comments, because I knew there would be a few laughs.
  9. Ryan's got a better ERA and WHIP. I wouldn't trade him for Ragans.
  10. Ragans seems a bit over-hyped. Doesn't seem All-MLB to me.
  11. He better be! PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS OPS+ TB GDP HBP SH SF 107 98 9 19 2 0 1 9 3 0 8 21 .194 .252 .245 .497 45 24 3 0 0 1 Add in -2 DRS, -2.5 UZR and -0.7 bWAR He's closing in on Rusty Kuntz territory for terrible trade acquisitions. (Granted the Doncon part appears to be working out so far.)
  12. We got ourselves a Rag(an)s to Rich(ardson)es storyline going here?
  13. Luke Keaschall - 169 wRC+ (inflated a bit by BABIP, maybe) and 14.5% K-Rate Doesn't seem that he has a whole heckuva lot left to prove at A+. I do wonder why he keeps DHing (only 14 starts in the field vs. 25 at DH). Is he nursing something in his throwing arm or something? He certainly isn't injured in his lower half the way he was running on Sunday. I'd think the org would want a player like him getting as many game reps as possible on defense.
  14. Unfortunately, Roger Corman (RIP) didn't live long enough to see this tonight and make his next B-feature. "Attack of the Blind Squirrels"
  15. I attended the Kernels game today. It was a great time. Luke Keaschall is a really fun player to watch play, and I only got to see hitting and base running with him being the DH today. He just has a next level energy about him, and he flies around those bases. Darren Bowen seemed to be striking them out or giving up loud contact. He did get out of bases loaded with nobody out jam in the first giving up just one run while striking out two to get out of it. Jay Harry had Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine" as his walk-up music. He must be wired different than me, because that's about the last song I'd pick to get fired up or locked in for an AB.
  16. This piece was probably written to generate clicks, but anyway ...........… Haha ... I'll take a few grams of what you're smokin', because this is complete tunnel vision perspective. The brand is being destroyed right now, and there's nothing that a sausage or any of these potential star players can do about it. Casual fans aren't going to make an effort to consume a "great product", if it isn't convenient to consume.
  17. Just saw the score at work ... Glad I missed these last two games. 1 run in 3 games is pathetic. Twins in presence of Yankees ....
  18. Cleveland's clobbering Texas. Not our night so far.
  19. That could have been so much worse. The fielding really needs to tighten up, especially when you're getting BABIP'd.
