  1. Why do the Twins still employ this individual?
  2. That was a classic battle won by Polanco
  3. Great plate discipline there by Sano.
  4. Tough room this evening ... Nice poke Gar sauce!
  5. Luis Gil is making his MLB debut tonight with Cole on the COVID list. https://nypost.com/2021/08/03/yankees-call-on-prospect-luis-gil-with-gerrit-cole-out/ I'm not going to watch a Yankees game, but the box score will be interesting.
  6. He's lucky. Two lifetimes as an MLB pitcher. I'll probably be an emaciated cow.
  7. My impression is that Bailey Ober has little stamina as a starting rotation option. I wish the Twins had Luis Garcia instead.
  8. I fear this is the way it will be the rest of the season with every pitcher not named Maeda or Pineda. It really sucks as a fan. We've been waiting for another internally developed starting pitcher to rise up the ranks and grab a spot in the rotation and keep it. Ober has come the closest to doing that, and he gets pulled when he has a chance to do something fun like K 10 guys, win a game and really start to develop some swagger. Rocco is annoying. Ober worked through that 4th inning and then gets told "too much duress for you! Hit the shower".
  9. I want to see Rortvedt vs. O'Neill in the octogon!
  10. Robles gone too. Did they possibly send out Buurows as well and get rid of all 17 runs?
  11. Three hours left to move the expiring contracts or this isn't as sweet. I hope Martin can stick at SS.
  12. I agree, but it seems every year that it doesn't happen. The ceiling is Nolasco/E Santana. I think the Twins have received one really good year from Ervin and one really good year from Hughes by doing it that way.
  13. Start with Maeda, Dobnak and Ober. Then take the 10 best free agent starting pitchers and remove them from the list of possibilities, save Pineda, if he's top 10. Pick two from the FA pile that's left, Thorpe, Smeltzer and the rookies. There's your rotation and injury fillers.
  14. Yeah, it's looking like the decisions made in the next 29 hours will have a massive effect on the look and expectations of this club for the next 221-383 games. If Berrios does get traded, Falvine is going into the off-season with a 2022 starting rotation of Maeda, Ober, Dobnak, Jax, ?. If I'm Robbie Ray or someone similar, I'm laughing at any reasonable offer to come to Minnesota. It would have to be a huge overpay.
  15. You're really reaching to defend Baldelli here. I can give you #1 on Burrows, but not Happ and Minaya. Neither of them are long with the Twins, so there is no need to see what they can do in the situation. As far as #2 goes, I can't imagine there is much desire outside the org very deep into the Twins pen. It's been god awful all season.
  16. Give me nine walks and Rocco, and the sky ... er .... the bottomless pit is the limit!
  17. I forgot that Soto can't hit the broad side of barn either. This ain't over.
  18. It's been doing that all season, since JP won't pay up on the ransomware.
  19. You'll wear it, Juan, and you'll freakin' like it!!
  20. Do it again, Eric, just get it over with!
  21. Help me, Juan Minaya, you're my only hope!
  22. I wonder .... When's the last time a team hit six home runs, gave up zero home runs and lost?
