    LOL. I looked up "Jeremy Zucker" when I wanted to find out just a bit of background on the understudy "Jeremy Zoll." How little I know. The former Haverford catcher will have to heavily lean on skipper Derek Shelton during Spring Training; TPohlad surely doesn't know the game.

    When I look at Tucker and now Bichette's contract, I just can't get my arms around these. $60MM/yr for Tucker $42MM/yr for Bichette Really? Man, I am getting old.

He batted for league average while here (75% of his ABs) and dropped 70 points for the Cubs in his 25% of the season with them.' I don't have a good handle on all the defensive IF changes (holy merrygoround) so can't speak to how he fits in.

    Goes into effect this year. I got a chuckle out of Derek Shelton's idea on it, courtesy of the Strip. "“My early thought — I don't know if I should say this — I don't think the pitchers should ever challenge,” Twins manager Derek Shelton said at the MLB winter meetings last month. “Pitchers think everything is a strike.”

    I know what you are trying to say but find it an odd way to discuss defensive limitations for a person who has ascended to MLB status.

    Love Joe but I don't see the sense of allowing him to pitch in WBC. Joe fades during the 2nd half of the year. He is needed for wins in early part of season. He needn't be showcased in the WBC. Any teams interested in him know his stuff already.

    Since we will never see the books, you might be right. I believe debt was created by the Pohlads merely drawing down the cash and investing elsewhere where they felt they needed to put cash to work.

    I am interested in the story from a business sense and on field baseball. I am surprised that owners are letting hedge funds into the club. Will be interesting to watch the business story unfold, though I have less hope/optimism for what we are going to see on the bases. Ugh...lee.
