  1. there is no reason not to keep both. at some point they will be considered in comparison with Cave and Sano. When Miggy 2 comes back somebody is gonna see what it's like in Rochester.
  2. OMG i didnt know it was those two!!! If we get swept I have to wear a Mets hat for a week!!
  3. man i hope you are right. He looks to me from afar that he has all the tools to be a valuable member of anybody's 25 man for sure. I understand the excitement and his versatility is really what got him the roster spot. Of course I wish him the best as well as I do for all the other guys!
  4. i know right!! I wish i could afford to get the coverage you guys that live back home do. But dont get me wrong i follow almost every pitch on gameday when i can. ✌️
  5. im just sayin....isnt that why Mejia, and later Magill are gonna be out there? The opener theory is alive in Minnesota too, we just haven't used it yet.
  6. I am super tired of everyone talking about this "opener" thing like it's a new innovative way to play, invented by Bill James or something. The #4, and number #5 starter for every team for the last 50 years has been an opener. The teams that win rings are the ones that either have a bullpen that's versatile, or a group of reliable starters that keep you in games a la Zack Greinke, Greg Maddox, and Yes, Jack Morris.
  7. And if you are right Yay! Im on your side! I just think he's got a ways to go before id crown him MVP this is for the same reason i despise the national media for never recognizing us. Im in Phoenix for cripes sake. the only twins news i get is here, espn, mlb.com or kfan on i heart radio.
  8. i understand its troll time right? I stated its far fetched to put him in the Twins Hall of Fame already. At no point did I post anything negative about Astudillo or his play
  9. I love this team and thank you for the excellent report. I am sorry my brothers and sisters, i dont live in the Twin Cities anymore so i dont feel the Love for Astudillo. I hope Im wrong but when mlb scouting reports update, he is NOT going to hit .350 anymore. I am guessing he will wind up an ultra valuable sub, get clutch hits, hustle on every play, and be a valuable member of a really Really good team. To suggest he should start Anywhere is a tad far fetched. I love him, don't get me wrong, but he is not the next coming of Kirby Puckett. just sayin....
  10. Like TK used ta say, just split on the road. Tomorrow is the rubber match. Suddenly we arent overmatched by the Phillies now are we?
  11. I just think a little transparency would have helped especially last year. We are Minnesotans, we didnt hire you but you are running OUR team.(figuratively of course). Let us in on the plan and we will be all for it. To be so secretive is alarming and sort of arrogant. We are in this together. nuff said. Mr. Falvey you arent running for office, quit saying what you think we want to hear. You can run for President or CEO of the Red Sox in 2024.
  12. Look, Im tired of all this. We will show the world that our time is Now. If some of you wanna crown the Indians, then go ahead and do it. The truth is they arent even as good as the 2002-2010 Twins teams were. Who could ever lose to the CUBS in any World Series.
  13. Yeah sure, their time is up.
  14. Cleveland will be a factor all year, we know this. But at one point last year we were 7-2 against their throat grabbing team before we tanked the whole last two months. Listen, if we take care of business and beat up on the Royals, Tigers, White Sox(dang auto correct), and Yes, the Indians, we win the division by ten games. By the All Star break we go shopping.
  15. is there a .5 level. He lost his luster with me when i saw him showboat that homer in the Dominican or Venezuela or wherever it was this winter.
  16. Indians place Corey Kluber on disabled list By Jordan Bastian | May 3, 2017 ......shall i go on?
  17. Carrasco was hit hard on the elbow by a line drive from Twins designated hitter Joe Mauer in the second inning of Saturday's game. It's the third time he's been injured by a hit in the past four seasons. He took a hit to the face in 2015, but didn't miss any time. He was also hit hard in the elbow in 2016 and missed the rest of the season. This is from 2018 a story about Carrasco. If I need to i can look up the story about how Bauer cut his hand playing with toys and missing a start in the 2016 playoffs. What about Danny Salazar? Where has he been since he was crowned a perennial Cy Young candidate? My point is that with the exception of Kluber and maybe Clevinger, none of those guys are pressure, clutch players. Hence no world championships since 1950 something. Its a loser team with no heart. Go ahead and crown them if you want. Im gonna love watching em fall.
  18. Im not sure exactly what the problem was last year but the "sense of urgency' that proven winners like Cruz and Gonzalez bring to the Clubhouse is a real difference maker.
  19. What's not to like about this start. I think the important thing to remember is there's a lot of new faces and personalities here in our organization. We will have some down times as well but as long as we stick to the plan...(whatever it is) we should make the playoffs with the talent i see displayed on this club. How far we can go is up to the Baseball Gods.
