  1. Game Over. We Win. I hate the F'n Sux!
  2. I want to see Dozier Blow this "Bleep" Up.
  3. Where's my high blood pressure medication?
  4. Enough is enough. It's Walk-Off Time!
  5. Damn it. It never comes easy.
  6. Hey JB - my post was purely satire. Sorry for that.
  7. I am of the opinion that Chief does not concern himself with arthritis. After serving his country as a Chief Executive Officer in World War I and fending off the disastrous influenza outbreak of 1918-1919, arthritis is a flea he swats off his left shoulder with ease. Everyone should wish Chief a "Happy Birthday" as tomorrow is Chief's 141st Birthday... June 21, 1873 - present time. Happy Birthday Chief!!!
  8. Adam Dunn doesn't hit singles... does he?
  9. Awesome!!! This a picture of me photo bombing Ricky Nelson sometime in late October of 1965.
  10. Those of us who are starved for offense, might be going to baseball's version of Old Country Buffet tonight.
  11. That is fantastic! It looks like your neighbors are having a good time. That is one helluva handsome dog. Attached is a picture I took when I was in Portland, Maine. I believe this couple was arguing over where they wanted their daughter to attend to college. http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/029/1/b/popeye_vs__the_sea_hag_by_jaypiscopo-d4nzscg.jpg
  12. It is real - I took the photo yesterday down by the great river. He is St. Paul's one and only Pierre "Pig's Eye" Parrant - of which a locally famous gut rot beer was named after. I'm not sure if that beer is around anymore? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Parrant
  13. It was nice to see Joe Mauer get a couple timely hits last night. Today I prayed very seriously to my Gods to help Joe permanently find his way out of the darkness that has enveloped him. I believe my Gods (the God's of St. Paul Proper), will answer my prayers, and bestow on to Joe the ability to hit at a .900+OPS clip the rest of the season. I believe it to be their will and feel confident that my prayers will be answered. Joe, the Gods will be looking down at you with the utmost generosity.
  14. Hey Glunn. If this happens, I will probably have to move there. Would you mind if I set up shop in your back yard in a tent or a crudely constructed shack until I find some available real estate on the boardwalk of Venice Beach with the other panhandlers? Let me know.
  15. In a weird kind of way, I hope he is hurt, not because I want him to be, but because of the substandard results this season, and that could lend some answers to the lackluster Mauer campaign. I really believed that Mauer would have an exceptional season at the plate this year, given that he isn't catching anymore - unfortunately, it has been quite the opposite. Maybe Joe is battling the after effects of a serious concussion or maybe the wear and tare of 10 years of catching in the big leagues have caught to him and he is finished as a productive player. I do not know the answers to these questions - but something is amiss or going haywire. (Shrug?)
  16. I wouldn't necessarily say that is his fate. The book is not written on Pinto as of yet. I believe his bat can be much better than Doumit's. If he cannot play catcher his bat will play somewhere else. Whether it be as a DH or at 1B. If the Twins give up on him - I feel in my heart of hearts, they will regret it. I might be wrong on this, but I don't believe that Jorge Posada was all that great of a defensive catcher and he did not play semi-regularly until his age 26-27 season and taking the reigns in his 28-29 aged season. If that is Pintos fate, I can live with that... not that I propose this scenario will happen, but the guy can hit. If he doesn't hit for the Twins, he will hit for someone else - as a starter - wherever that may be.
  17. Think of it as a warm embrace. I was there on the battlefield with you, I still have PTSD from that experience.
  18. "Brad Eldred" Revisited.
  19. Anybody here seen my old friend Joey? Can you tell me where he's gone? He freed a lotta baseballs but it seems the great skillz die young I just looked around and he's gone :(:(:(
  20. Gwynn's death is plain and simply - awful. When I read the news this morning I had waves of nostalgia and melancholy run over me - maybe, I was even a bit misty eyed. When I was able to watch Gwynn play, it was always a treat - the man was a hitting machine. Other than that, I checked the box score everyday to see what Tony Gwynn had done or where his BA was at. After his career was finished, I always enjoyed when I was able to hear him guest announce a game on ESPN or whatever network - I cannot recall. His baseball acumen and love for the game, always made him an educational and enjoyable watch and listen. He was baseball family - I felt like I knew him. 7 times hitting over .350 is astonishing! Rest well Tony Gwynn Sr., you will never be forgotten.
  21. Ahh Smurf... and @$#&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Oopsey Boopsey Bop - Nice Job Eduardo!
  23. Shock the world Plouffe! It is your time.
