  1. Just for a short time when he was a 10 year old. #USCurrencyJoke
  2. Sox already packing it in. Anderson could've had two there if he'd have wanted it
  3. Well that's not exactly accurate. They scored a lot more runs
  4. I live about 10 minutes from the Durham Bulls Athletic Park so it fits really
  5. Hmmmm. Valid observation. However I will point out that back in the day, players would take one base at a time and they were damn well pleased to do so. Still. Boys will be boys I suppose.
  6. I've always enjoyed station to station ball myself. The homerun things are overrated.
  7. Defense and Dingers: 2019 Minnesota Twins -My first book... As soon as I figure out how this carny ride ends.
  8. Shhhh. Don't tell them that. They may stop
  9. You, sir, are a codger after my own heart. The nats going to sell mode has me all a-flutter. Why stop at Scherzer? See what they want for Doolittle and Strasburg. Then take the deal we like the most.
  10. We've got a bunch of mid-20s guys jammed into a small space. They're all hyped up on adrenaline and they're all competitive. I'd be more worried if there wasn't a couple of spats that happen in the dugout from time to time. Tells me they all want to win.
  11. Cleveland has lost 7 of their last twelve. Twins have won 8 of their last twelve. That's how you build some breathing room.
  12. I've got my broom ready so hopefully I'll get to use it.
  13. But it's SOOOOOO MUCH FUNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Every team should always have two or three guys who are untouchable. If you're in the habit of trading your best prospects it had better be for more than just an ace on an expiring contract for the stretch run. I don't care how good the "ace" is. If you're packaging Royce Lewis in a deal, you'd better be getting a guy like Scherzer or prime Clayton Kershaw with several years left on their deal. Otherwise you end up where the tigers are right now. I don't want to be where the tigers are right now.
  15. I'd bet on the Marlins. They'd trade anybody. Not that they have anybody really good it's just you did say "ANY team"
  16. Honestly it all depends on what the Giants are trying to do. Are they reloading or rebuilding? There are going to be two different types of players involved in those deals. Rebuild will probably have younger guys where a reload has guys closer to the bigs. The good news is there seems to be a pretty solid relationship between our FO and theirs following the Austin and Reed deals. What a MadBum/Smith trade to the Twins looks like I wouldn't really hazard a guess. Also I'm really not aware enough of what they giants organizational need is for players. Where is their depth thin and the like. I feel that would have a major impact on who we would be hypothetically sending back
  17. MadBum. And if you can get Will Smith tossed into the deal be willing to take on all the salary. I'm of course open to other SP suggestions
