  1. Gloating or Choking LOL. The choke job is doing so well.
  2. Thats a very nice day for Taj. It seems like most things seems to be going pretty well right now. Batters at the MLB doing well, the prospects doing well, the traded for players doing pretty good. Roden still a question mark but at least a decent day today. Anyone know what Taj's velocity was today and whether the stuff looked better?
  3. 3-3 Twins players didn't get the memo from the front office. Played competitive baseball against Cleveland and Detroit.
  4. At one point you could get 20 to 1 odds that the Tigers would win the game. Down to 1300 now. With this team and bullpen If I was a betting man if I ever got those odds I would highly consider putting some money down. I still have a feeling we will have some awful bullpen meltdowns. 1/20, 5% chance actually seems low to what their chances were. Maybe up to 15%. Then Funderburk end the inning. Good job.
  5. Personally I think the light is just a little dim upstairs and the defensive skills have always been subpar. I think decent bat skills and some speed were good enough at the college and low level minors to make Toronto and the Twins think they could fix the defensive skills. Like Julien - it just doesn't appear to be there. Maybe he can hit enough to continue to get better at the MLB level, but in all reality with his play yesterday he was giving up runs left and right. That just kills the pitching side which needs every out. We are not working with a full pitching squad.
  6. Does Hatch have much to work with, or is today just a good day?
  7. Gasper will likely strike out, and Roden will get another opportunity to have a massive day.
  8. Brooks Lee takes a walk. Brooks needs to become more patient at the plate. Excellent day today for Mr Lee.
  9. I assume you mean Noah Davis 😉 I wish we had Miller back even though i don't think his bat will ever be ready for the big show.
  10. 3 innings left, 4 run lead, Can we hold? Are Tonkin, Sands and Topa available?
  11. LOL yeah I know. Just that fact he has had such a good day. My guess is his day is done and is in place for the W. Pretty good day at the office for him.
  12. Dang, where did this Hatch come from 😃
  13. The bat looks good enough to keep him as likely the backup 4th outfielder. Break glass Buxton replacement if we have no one else. He has a long ways to go on the defensive side. Its why he keeps getting days off. Its not because of the bat, its because of his lack of defensive awareness.
  14. Jeffers is .8 War even Wallner is .9, but I remember checking here recently and he was at like .3 or .4.
  15. That would be my guess. If Roden shows enough down the stretch he takes over for Larnach waiting for Rodriguez or Gonzalez to start their MLB careers.
  16. Roden just needed some confidence. Today is a very good start for that.
  17. Its sad though that we need Keaschall to be a leader when beyond Buxton who played well - you had Correa, Jeffers, Wallner, Larnach and Lewis that have effectively given us replacement level play.
  18. LOL, Martin such a frustrating player. Can flash like that, then have no clue what he is doing out in the field or running the bases.
  19. Austin Martin sighting for Julien. Guessing he is going out to left field, Clemens back to 1st.
  20. Jeffers, Larnach and Wallner finally started hitting the ball well after the deadline. Not sure what the change was, less stress, no Correa. Clemens has had a couple solid days. Keaschall comes up and in 2 days looks like a leader of the clubhouse. Today lee finally has a decent day. Wonder how close that last at bat was to another hit? Espn shows liner to the gap.
  21. These are the players I think most impact our future from the positional players that I am continue to watch. Lewis (yuck, I think his approach is getting worse) Lee (just needs to keep improving, today was a nice start, the defense looks solid at short), Keaschall (OMG) Clemens (will he lock down 1st base) Roden (has a pulse today, can he start getting comfortable at the MLB level). I think for relievers if we can find 1 usable reliever from the reliever scrap waiver wire and Topa and Sands start getting comfortable in their new higher leverage positions, I think that would be a pretty solid outcome. If Topa remains solid I think that $2 million club option looks like a guarantee.
