Twins Video
Hello again, Twins fans! Twice a year, I sit down and find the most popular posts and blogs on Twins Daily and their creators receive prizes for their contributions to the sprawling behemoth that is Twins Daily. While this offseason wasn't as action-packed as previous winters, there was still a lot to talk about. We look at the most popular posts and most popular blogs created by our users.
Let's dive into the most popular content of the offseason.
Most Popular Post
Hey @Supfin99, come on down! In what was the most popular post of the offseason, Supfin99 takes on our very own John Bonnes over his Jorge Polanco take. In what was easily the most controversial move of the winter, opinions were divided on how losing the longest-tenured Twin would impact the 2024 team. Congratulations on your achievement and for your efforts, you will receive this TC-branded Dugout Mug!

Next up is one of our Caretakers, @Cory Engelhardt! In our write-up of prospect Austin Martin, Cory chimed in to say the Twins should consider handing the glove to Martin and letting him take his shot. After a couple of frustrating seasons, the centerpiece of the Jose Berrios trade put together a solid second-half of the 2023 season and it appears Cory is a fan!
Sorry Cory, you win nothing. But thank you anyway! 😃
Most Popular Blog Entry
As always, the Twins Daily user blog section was humming all offseason. We averaged nearly a blog a day for most of the winter. Coming out on top in audience engagement was Whatever Happened to 50% of Revenue for Payroll? from @jharaldson. Years ago, Dave St Peter, president of the Twins, used to promote the idea that half of all revenue went to the MLB payroll. What changed? That's a damned good question and jharaldson, you're taking home this Kirby Puckett bobblehead for asking the right questions.

Most Popular Blog Entry Runner-Up
Yet again we have someone using and abusing Edwin Starr in @Doctor Gast's WAR! HAH! What is it good for? As one might expect, this blog entry ruffled a few feathers, questioning the utility of the various WAR stats and how they apply to catchers, Yadier Molina in particular.
Nothing riles up the dorks like questioning advanced metrics, and I include myself amongst their ranks.
Most Prolific Poster
As always, we highlight the poster who earned the most "points" during the offseason. You are awarded points for creating content and others liking your content. This is a pure numbers game and this winter, @chpettit19 takes home the glory. I haven't checked but they probably got a chunk of those points complaining about Gast's piece on WAR.
That's all for this winter, folks. Give a round of applause to all of those mentioned in this piece and we're only two weeks from Opening Day!
