Would Dozier Clear Waivers?

He'd be claimed within five minutes. Guy has turned himself into an excellent 2B, and his hitting has made a quantum leap. Brian Dozier right now is what every team wants, except the Yankees.

 

That makes it seem you're saying he's the 2nd best 2B in baseball. You're not actually saying that are you? I've been a supporter of him since before he ever hit the majors. Argued that he should make the team, prior to last year's ST even starting, and even I don't think he's the 2nd best 2B in baseball.

Dozier is a 26 year old middle infielder with a 2.2 WAR making the league minimum. He would be claimed by about 15-20 teams.

He's making the league minimum, so he wouldn't have to be a teams starting 2b to be claimed. Which makes me wonder why he specifically excluded the Yankees. Perhaps he was just taking some kind of shot at the Yankees? I'm not sure.

I considered that, but then why not include the Red Sox as well? Or the Indians? Or the Rangers?

Do you always latch on to other people's hyperbole so tightly? Obviously Cano jumps out as a better 2nd baseman without having to think about it. Jimbo is excited about how much better Dozier has been this year/is getting this year, why can't we just leave it at that?

I ASKED jimbo what he meant by his post. I wasn't sure, so I asked his meaning. Someone else answered and said he was 5th along with two other guys. So I said that's not 2nd. Jimbo, who posted the post I questioned, still hasn't answered. I'm not exactly sure you have a valid complaint about my post.

 

And if you read the posts I've written on this thread, I'm a huge supporter of Dozier...I have always believed in him...so, again...
