1) Trade Trevor Larnach to San Diego for Freddy Fermin and a low level pitching prospect. 

2) Trade Joe Ryan to the Giants for 3 prospects.

3) Trade Bailey Ober to the Cardinals for a pitching prospect.

4) Trade/DFA Austin Martin, Tommy Nance and Yoendrys Gomez.

5) Sign Jake Bauers, 5/90.

6) Sign David Bednar, 4/72

7) Sign AJ Minter, 1/7 with a mutual option for 2028.

 

I still think this payroll is a bit low, as I THINK Caratini is owed 10 million in 2027 due to his option not being picked up in 2028. I'd also be very open to going even higher and bringing in a long guy like Kris Bubic who might be able to start as needed. But what do you think?

Appreciate that you are putting out your ideas. Thank you.

The last couple of years this practice drew little interest except from those anxious to criticize. I found it a bit depressing. No surprise that the critics did not put out a roster. I'm hopeful there is a more positive acceptance of thoughts this year.

Like all of us, the amount needed to sign free agents holds a wide variance. Your guesses are as good as any will be. The Twins should be able to complete some trades. I think the Giants are interested in Ryan. What prospects are possible as a return? The Twins used Keaschall in right field where there is less room at Target Field. More balls go to left field as well. My guess is that they will keep that arrangement but I get the idea of using Keaschall in LF. 

The trades and signings I have thought about are a little different but David Bednar is a solid choice as a closer.

Thanks! And yeah, the dollar values for free agents I just took from the listing in the link. I actually think a few of them are pretty low, but who knows. 

And I LOVE blueprints. Frankly even as a kid I liked doing this kind of thing more than playing baseball video games. I never really was any good at playing the game on a computer or video game, but the roster building is fun.

Here's to hoping there are moves this November and a season next year :)
