And, consider me a reluctant convert. I didn't want to like him, because I will most certainly see less of Kreidler now, but Culpepper definitely should have been up here months ago. An outstanding start tonight! I don't want to pour cold water on a guy that hit a homer in his major league debut, but Culpepper looked rough in the field. The double pump cost a run, he didn't make a play on his backhand side and he played back or a hopper and barely got a forceout. The homer was impressive Culpepper has good bat speed and he looked good at the plate and didn't strike out, but if Brooks Lee or Tristan Gray had played the same game in the field the TD faithful would be howling. I expect he'll play better defense after getting comfortable and the offensive upside is easy to see. Congratulations Kaelen. I hope you have a long successful career with the Twins. Yeah, Culpepper was very tentative and nervous in the field. I hope he gets it together and doesn't botch plays going forward.

I am on the fence about this. The Twins front office is what affected attendance. They dismantled a playoff contending team and stripped it down completely . The only reason this team is contending is because our division along with the entire AL is horribly bad. I don't trust ownership at all and the trainwreck of not being able to watch the Twins on cable is also pathetic. Am I rooting for them? Yup, will I give them one dime of my hard earned money ? Not a chance unless I actually see a change. Hubie29 1

Plouffe DID compare Culpepper to rickie weeks which appears spot on through one game.

Not a chance unless I actually see a change. I understand your thoughts. I guess we will see if the AL central point is valid after the August matches against the NL playoff contenders Brewers, Phillies, Braves, and Padres. Those are tough matchups for any teams. They stripped it down, yes,. I was livid.(except Correa dumping)...but I love the Twins and watching the team in person supports the players on the field, also. I would much rather spend a reasonably priced ticket to a summer baseball game than an expensive packed house ticket for the Vikings. Concession/ticket discounts, concerts, promotional giveaways..are nice in my view. I do not see that in football. Does Tom Pollard seem just a bit of an upgrade. .yes..Do some of the trades THIS year seem as an improvement...yes...Do the players seem more unified as a group...yes..is Shelton an upgrade..Yes..Do i want to watch the Twins in person with a beer at a discount and peanuts..Yes... so...I need to focus on the present Patzky and akmanak 2
