"only 6" is quite the statement....that's 6 guys in the top 100.....It also dismisses Abel who is barely not a prospect at this point.

Wow, they do NOT like Young!

Ah you're right. I misunderstood the FV overview... But clicking through other orgs on the link, the Twins have more than most in that 50 FV caliber.

the summary is that they have a LOT of high variance guys! That could be good, or not....and they are in the top half of orgs, and will be in the top third after the draft unless they do something weird with their first pick.

Reasonable number of 50 FV guys, but none above that.

For reference, a Fangraphs 50 FV grade maps to "Average MLB regular," meaning they don't project a single current Twins minor leaguer as a better than average MLB regular in the future (while acknowledging it's a high-variance group).

There are currently 33 total prospects in the minors with Fangraphs FV grades above 50. Interesting that they don't count Walker Jenkins among the top 33 prospects in the minors. Most do, although I tend to agree with Fangraphs' assessment. I suspect Jenkins will be a long-time MLB regular if he can figure out his injury issues.... but I don't see a star.

It's a middle of the pack minor league system with decent depth, but really lacking at the top end.

I'm guessing they have a 55 after the draft.... If not, they should all be fired.
