I hope this isn't the case, but I see this F.O. micromanaging so much, I expect they have a certain way they feel the players should be taught to hit - regardless of what the hitting coaches feel.  

If so, it doesn't appear to be working.

But the real question is: is it the hitting coaching or the level of talent the hitting coach has to work with?

Your pattern suggests that for Popkins, Minnesota was a cage vs Toronto being a playground.

In Toronto:

More freedom, coachable players, and players who can execute his vision?

Would love to hear Popkins speak on this, but that rarely happens.

They could triple their payroll and it wouldn't be equal to this years Twins payroll.  But it isn't about payroll it is about how the franchise is run... you think the Pohlads are bad do some research on what the A's ownership has done

Wow...I did some research.  Fisher is probably the worst owner in all of the major sports. 

He knows what he's doing however. 

He sees the goldmine by moving the team to Vegas.

Check out the Pirates owner. their payroll is $87 million.  He had Rowdy Tellez released when he was 4 at bats short of a $200,000 bonus.  The Pohlads would never do that sort of crap
