Brad Swanson Verified Member Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 That's just solid material right there. She must have loved J.C. Romero!
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I have no idea if Thielbar can keep it up, but I hope he does. He's exciting to follow.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 How can winning only 4 more games than last year be a "huge" improvement? It is quite a small change.

This "major improvement meme over last season" is destined for major rewrite, probably during the All Star Break. The Twins seem destined to come back from this current road trip of death with virtually nothing to show for their efforts except utter despair. The W-L record is getting perilously close to the White Sox, Astros and Marlins. Suddenly, the 8 games with the Sox and 3 with the 'Stros in the first part of August are going to have real meaning!

Huge was an intentional exaggeration, but I think this organization is in much better shape than last year. The team is more competitive, if not that much better, and the farm system is much stronger. I should have written that part better, but I was trying to save room for information about my pants and Denny Hockingbird.
