As I type Stewart is warming up and it seems the Twins might pull Sim now. I'm not seeing the odds. Having pitched hundreds of times and managed a similar number I'm not seeing the protection angle but will concede there may be analytics involved. How are they working?

Whether or not it "works" isn't the point.

Its just bad management. And it's a recurring theme.

Miami is drawing crowds about the same size as an SEC D1 baseball team. Incredible actually when one considers the size of their metro area and the history of baseball in that region.

Before we were saved by the umps.  I was going to suggest that Varland could still go tonight as he threw 19 pitches last night.  If you didn't want to go there, Coulombe could finally throw more than a few pitches and complete a full inning as a bridge to Jax and Duran.
