Eris Verified Member Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 This was in the WSJ but can also be found elsewhere. Tony Clark and other MLBPA executives are being investigated for allegedly siphoning off some of the windfall generated from their arrangement with OneTeam Partners. The link below gives a detailed explanation of what is known. OneTeam Partners was formed to capitalize on players marketing rights and a portion of the proceeds are distributed back to the players. The payments are known as “Madden Checks” OneTeam Partners is not thought to be under investigation https://frontofficesports.com/mlbpa-oneteam-tony-clark-federal-investigation/ Not linking the WSJ article as it is behind a paywall. It appears in the June 5, 2025 print edition on pg A14.
