ByoungHo Park is a former Minnesota Twin first baseman. He rose to prominence in South Korea as a member of LG Twins and the former Nexen Heroes due to incredible home run totals. Park is a two-time MVP in the Korean Baseball Organization, a five-time Golden Glove winner, a five-time home run leader, a four-time RBI leader, a two-time slugging percentage leader, and a two-time gold medal winner with the South Korean national baseball team.

The Minnesota Twins won the rights to negotiate with park between the 2015 and 2016 seasons after posting the winning bid of $12.85 million dollars, and he eventually signed a four-year deal worth $12 million dollars on December 1st, 2015. Despite the hashtag #PARKBANG gaining traction during the beginning of the 2016 season, Park never lived up to the hype. He hit an abysmal .191 with 12 home runs in 62 games with the Twins before being optioned to Triple-A Rochester during his rookie MLB campaign. He spent all of 2017 at Triple-A and asked for his release during the offseason to return to the KBO.

He returned to the Nexen (Kiwoom) Heroes in 2018 and played there for the next four seasons. He signed a three-year deal at the end of 2021 to play for the KT Wiz and is in the last year of his contract as of this writing.
