Yes--Hernandez went into a slide trying to make a backhand catch and then pop up, didn't quite stretch enough to catch the ball. He would have had to pop quickly and then make an accurate throw, but it was Donnie Barrels at third. Solano didn't run when Jeffers hit an acceptable bunt. There have been other times when Solano didn't try to take a base that he should have made easily (IMHO).

I was at the game. I'm 99 percent sure Solano wouldn't have scored on Jeffers' bunt. It was a safety squeeze, not suicide. The bunt didn't go far enough.

I'm also 99 percent sure he scores even if the RFer catches Correa's liner.

There is always a point to getting to 3rd.  Can score on wild pitch, passed ball, infield single, etc.

Yes, but...one pretty widely accepted baserunning tenet is "don't make the 1st or 3rd out at 3rd base."

The benefits of being on 3rd are there, but don't outweigh ending the inning.

Seriously this is Legion Ball stuff and it happens way too often.

I didn't see the play, but the pre AS Twins seemed just as likely to score on WP or PB as they were to get another hit.

Sweet are the uses of adversity, like the dove bar of chocolate soap.

Why is Kepler still here??????

That's a great question. For 3 years he could care less. It was only after he got his a.. chewed he decided to show up. And that double down the line that he hustled after like a true gold glover thar he is. And then a 30 foot spiked throw. Yeah he's awesome. Better than Clemente
