John Belinski Verified Member Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Almost the whole team is batting below what was expected. Our two stars are batting way below what was expected. It seems like the biggest problem is the batters swinging at so many pitches well out of the strike zone. Other teams will certainly know about this and will have their pitchers throw more pitches out of the strike zone since the Twins batters are swinging and missing them. It would appear either the manager or hitting coach has to start helping the hitters to be more selective. The longer the Twin's players keep swinging at bad pitches they will see fewer pitches that they can hit in the strike zone.
