Ncgo4 Verified Member Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Sano now w/115 at bats. Average back over .390, it really is nearing the time to move him. Sounds like beating a dead horse, but how long do they wait. Opposing pitchers have hit him twice in a week & 1/2, once with injury. A third time they threw at his head but missed. He is so outclassing opposing pitchers that they feel they can only brush him back. I'm starting to not like this.

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Trevor May 2 hit complete game Shutout. struck out 10 and walked 1 (note it was a 7 inning game due to a DH)... very nice game.
kab21 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Buxton's on base streak ends. He did find a way to get to 1B because a CS shows up in the box score. He's clearly not ready for a promotion. Polanco 2/4 BB now hitting .347 and Walker 3/5 now hitting .305

He's clearly not ready for a promotion. Buxton is 3 for 20 with no extra base hits, 6k's with 2CS in his last 5 games so he is in a bit of a funk. It'll be good to see how quickly he can make adjustments (whether it's from an minor injury, different pitching approach or just a mental lapse). Personally I have no problems holding Buxton and Sano at their current leagues until the midway point. I don't think it's wise to let prospects see 3 levels in 1 year for the most part.
